While it's just a report and not 100% I do find it quite interesting. Microsoft has learned the mistake from the 360 and tackled the overheating problem which means their will hopefully be no more issued like the RRoD. According to the article the RRoD problems cost them over $1 billion which is a pretty hefty blow. They've also designed it to be almost silent. I'm hoping that's the case because the 360 just sounds awful.
Thoughts?

由TGI Skuldier編輯: 8/2/2013 3:09:45 AM
Its powered by uranium. Instead of RRoD we now just have leaks in the containment and cooling systems and have to deal with radiation burns, sickness, and possible nuclear meltdown. There is a disclaimer about playing the Xbox One during severe thunderstorms too. A combination of a power surge and attempt an emergency shutdown could lead to an exponentially larger spike in power output, which in turn could lead to a reactor vessel rupture and a series of steam explosions. These events might expose the graphite moderator of the reactor to air, causing it to ignite. We've already lost two production and testing plants like this. In order to prevent this all you have to do is order Microsoft brand cadmium rods to insert into the Xbox One reactor. Don't worry they are only 1200 MS points a piece. You should also follow the shut down and start up procedures to the letter...
My thoughts? Still not getting it. Doesn't it come with a camera so MS/NSA can watch you?

Hopefully. I've had overheating problems a lot with my 360, apart from the fact that having it on, it sounds like an airplane taking off.

My thoughts? I hope they explored the RRoD error when they decided to chalk up the Xbone as their next console The RRoD was an atrocity

Amazing they managed to prevent a red ring of death massacre for the next console. Oh and that's great, I mean keeping your console on for 10 years straight is awesome, I mean everyone keeps their consoles on for 10 years straight...

Iv left my 360 on for 7 days in a row, never got RRoD. Dont really mind the sound much. Im gonna wait to get the Xbone because I want it to have a 360 emulator or something so that i dont wast my money buying it, and then have my 500$ worth of games sitting in a corner. I also like all the older games and i dont think gamkng companies will redo all of the games.

Leaving electronics on doesn't hurt them. Once they're hot, they're fine. It's the heating and cooling that kills them, turning them on and off. it's similar to a paper clip, you bend it, and it's almost as strong as it was originally. Bend it back and forth 20 times, and it's probably close to breaking.
