Who would you prefer getting their hands on the mantle of Taken King?
Savathûn, Xivu Arath, or Toland?
Any of the three could yield disastrous results for humanity, but which do you think humanity would have the best shot against? Please post your reasonings in the comments below.

由KoriksFlameKell編輯: 2/4/2017 3:44:53 AMThere's only one true answer here...
SYLOK, THE DEFILED!!!!!!
Altough I picked Savathun I don't have a reason but I honestly think Taox would make a good next boss. Imagine a new race of enemies - the "Proto-Hive" - basically less hidious but still deformed-ish versions of the Hive.

I feel that it is against Xivu Arath's nature to take the taken throne, and toland is way too weak. Savathun may try to take it (see what I did there?), but then again maybe another child of Oryx will take it. Maybe the Vex will cease that power.

Toland or Savathun, because Toland is human and might automatically support us, or we could bargain Savathun for an outcome that benefits her. She does want to live forever, and the light can do that for her

Why are people so desperate for the cliché "one of us who became evil" plot? It's overused, unoriginal, and boring. It would be much better for Toland to be an inside agent.

That one doozy of a question. Savatûn is a tricky one and would no doubt cut us down quickly and decisively. Xivu would absolutely cut us down. No question. She would use the taken to bum rush us and end us. I'm also really skeptical of Toland. He would definitely use the taken power, and I'm afraid that the deep would speak very persuasive philosophy to him and convince him to kill us. SO, in terms of who is more likely to be pursued to not kill us with taken, I'd honestly have to say Savatûn. Why? Because she's like a warlock on the dark side. She's a curious one, and if we could just talk with her, we could very well convince her that the light is the correct way to go about things. She would listen, unlike Toland and Xivu. (Toland being swallowed up by his hunger for philosophy and Xivu not giving a damn about what we have to say.) We could convince her to use the taken power to help others. Remind her of the times of the proto-hive and use her to help make others stronger so that they don't have to endure the same things she and her people once did. But that is of course only if we can get her to talk with us and if she doesn't immediately kill us. But that's just my opinion.
yowza, been a while since I've had a comment that long.
If you think about it, Savathûn already has it. Not physically but she's got this massive plan. It'd be really intresting to see what happens when she uses said power though because Savathûn is probably the most dangerous out of the three.

Dear Muzzy, I am here with a question on this topic. It a few actually. Firstly, if there is to be a new ruler of the hive, why not make it someone who was corrupted by them like Dredgen Yor? And secondly, to support my first question, is his soul supposedly in the hives throne World place?

I would say Xivu. That is because he/she is the most blunt out of all of them. Xivu would come right for us, which would make it easier for us to eliminate them,

Toland, at least he is one of us. Although technically, we are supposed to be the leader of the hive and house of wolves. Oryx killed queen, we killed oryx. Once we killed oryx we should have control ove both.

I'd prefer Toland personally, but is far more likely that Savathun would take Oryx's place. Xivu Arath gains power through physical destruction and literally made made war he throne world, so she may not even be interested in Taking simply because that is not her way. Savathun I imagine would have coveted the ability to Take from the moment Oryx obtained it. I would shudder to think what she could do with it though. Certainly not make a giant weak spot on her chest for one...

由w3rdblader編輯: 1/24/2017 2:45:40 PMNo one else can take... You could counter by saying that he wrote the secrets to taking beings on the tablet of ruin, except the in-game screwed up and used the tablet of ruin as a mechanic for the golgoroth fight, so if all that's required to Take things is reading the tablet of ruin, anyone who has beaten KF should be able to "take" people. The only way to gain the power was to "take" it from Akka. When Auryx killed Akka, he gained the power to "take" and became Oryx. It's safe to assume each proto worm has its own unique ability, Akkas was the ability to "take". If we see any new hive with special abilities, odds are we will find out they got them from a different proto worm.
