Happy New Year Guardians, may your journeys through the Dark let the Light shine in new places as your legend continues.
I hope everyone made some New Years resolutions that you'll stick to.
Welcome to my post on the Vex Minds that control the time-traveling builders I love so much, made in continuation of my Vex series of lore posts. Vex Axis Minds are Vex containing a copy of all information required for the Vex under its command to achieve an objective. The Vex underneath the Mind focus on particular tasks while the Mind oversees the entire project.
Zydron, Gate Lord: Zydron regulates the Vex gates (at least those on Venus) and was encountered and defeated at the Endless Step. This Gate Lord commands Hezen Protective Units and has the chassis of a massive Minotaur.
Prohibitive Mind: this Minotaur is located on Mars and coordinated Virgo Prohibition Vex movement against the Cabal on Mars until it's destruction.
Quria, Blade Transform: when Crota opened a tear leading into the Vex network that allowed the Vex to enter Oryx's ascendant realm, Quria was built to study the physics of the throne world, and use that information to grow stronger. Quria was eventually pushed out of the throne along with the rest of the Vex, but not after capturing Hive and Worm specimens that it experimented on. Quria later attacked Oryx again, but was defeated, Taken, and then given to Savathûn as a gift. There is no knowledge as to the current location or condition of Taken Quria.
Black Garden's Heart (not a Mind): a piece of Darkness found by the Vex and brought to the Black Garden for them to worship, grow, and use to their advantage. All evidence suggests that the Heart came from some of the specimens captured during Quria's time on Oryx's Dreadnaught. The Vex do not understand the Heart or Darkness at all, which is why worshiping it is the only option they can find with any chance of benefit, but that does not mean they cannot find a way to utilize the power they know it has.
Divisive Mind: this Hydra was in command of the Sol Divisive subtype and was found powering a matrix barrier to prevent intruders from reaching the Black Garden's Heart. Located in Black Garden.
Sol Progeny: the Sol Progeny is a group of three large Minotaur forms (each of different appearance) meant to be operated by the Black Garden's Heart that reside in the Garden. They are known as Eschaton Mind, Imminent Mind, and Primeval Mind. If the Heart had grown strong enough to control all three vessels at once, they would have left the Garden and erased everything that stood in the way of the Vex. But our Guardian destroyed the vessels and the Heart while it was only strong enough to operate one at a time. The Vex do not understand the Heart, but that does not mean they can't use it to meet their own ends.
The Undying Mind: this Mind has the ability to send locations adrift in time so they cannot be attacked easily and can be more effectively controlled by the Vex. We discovered it trying to send the Black Garden adrift in time once more after the destruction of the Heart resulted in the Garden returning to its place in reality. Has the chassis of a massive Sol Divisive Hydra with three matrix shields and has command over Vex of the Sol Divisive and Precursor subtypes.
Groundskeeper: this large Minotaur guards over the Black Garden and commands a force of Descendent Vex. It appears before the gate that lead to the Garden's Heart whenever enough Vex units are destroyed to anger it. Encountered and destroyed in the last stage of the No Time To Explain quest.
Sekrion, Nexus Mind: the Nexus resides deep in the Vex systems of Venus and directed the Hezen Protective as they work to transform Venus into one of their Machine worlds. Sekrion was built in the form of a massive Hydra and was vital to Vex operations on Venus.
Theosyion, the Restorative Mind: the Restorative Minds are created to undo the deaths of other Vex Minds by altering time. Theosyion is built in a form based off of a Harpie and showed how important the Nexus was to Vex operations on Venus by trying to undo its death. Found and destroyed in the Echo Chamber, commanding Hezen Protective units.
Qodron, Gate Lord: this Vex Mind is found in the Prison of Elders, but was not captured by the Awoken; it entered the Prison of its own accord and no one has been able to make it leave. It seeks only to kill Guardians, so has come to the Prison because it knows Guardians will challenge it their. Commands Vex of the Aphix Invasive and bears the chassis of a massive Minotaur.
Overmind Minotaurs: these large Minotaurs came to the Prison of Elders under Qodron's command and help Qodron command the Aphix Invasive and kill Guardians.
The Praetorian Order (not Minds): Minotaurs created with the task of protecting the entrance to the Vault of Glass.
Oracles (not Minds): Oracles hav the ability to view a future that has an outcome desirable for the Vex. They appear as yellow or red conflux lights. Only found inside the Vault of Glass.
Templar: the Templar is a massive Hydra (build resembling that of a Precursor) with the ability to change time to whatever alternative that the Oracles see. If the Oracles see something that the Vex need to get rid of, the Templar gets rid of it. Only found inside the Vault of Glass.
Gorgons: like the combination of Oracles with the Templar, Gorgons can alter time to whichever reality they see fit, and therefore erase anything that they perceive as a threat. However, the Gorgons can only erase something from time if they can directly see it, and their abilities are limited to affecting only something within the Vault, just like the Oracles and Templar. Found only in the Vault of Glass in the form of Harpies.
Atheon, Time's Conflux: Atheon awaits at the heart of the Vault of Glass and is believed to regulate the Vex Conflux system, which is the non-physical aspect of the Vex network that stretches across space and time. It is not known if Atheon created the Vault or the Vault created Atheon, but we do know that Atheon is the point where the time stream converges inside the Vault and is ever-present inside of it, no matter how far in the past or how far in the future you go. Assuming that the Vex want to integrate themselves into the laws of physics and time and become part of the universe itself, Atheon would be the pinnacle of this project that controlled all Vex operations throughout all time. Of course, this is all speculation and none of it is certain.
The Conductive Mind: this Hydra Mind was in charge of harnessing Arc energy to use for Vex projects and possessed a very powerful Arc generator in its systems.
Since everyone keeps bringing this up, I would like you all to know that I am not including Taken Minds in this post; they will be included in my posts on the Taken once I get to them

Doesn't the undying mind briefing say that it's the Weavers, not the mind, repairing the black garden?

Maybe add a small bit about the green "oracles" that Morphon can summon to make itself Immune? Plus there's Hephone, Corruption Mind (a Major Taken Hydra sometimes found during Cerberus Vae III)
