*A Wild Gringo has appeared*
Hello, it is I, Wild Gringo, here to bring you some Destiny lore in this time of extreme drought.
Earlier today I was looking around to see if Bungie had broken their current vow of silence, when I came across a website. On this website was a list of the Exotics Bungie has so lovingly time gated for us. No big news. Thing was, when TTK started, I didn't have a Hunter. So when they showed all of the Exotic armor, i really only skimmed through the Hunter stuff. Now I made a Hunter and actually wanted to see the new Exotics that may or may not be coming out for them within the next century. I scrolled down, and noticed saw the Shinobu's Vow. All was usual until I saw it's flavortext,
No supplies. Armor in tatters. But the refugees had asked for help. And she had given her word." —Tale of the Six Coyotes
(if you do not know, Hunters were the first Guardians to leave the City after the collapse to help guide Refugees safely)
Pretty cool. But I noticed something weird. It sounded strangely familiar but I couldn't put where. I took a closer look at the gloves and realized what I was thinking of. The Hereafter.
The color scheme is the same, light blue, orange, and white/grey. This alone may not mean anything, until you look at Hereafter's description and Shinobu's Vow side by side.
"No supplies. Armor in tatters. But the refugees had asked for help. And she had given her word." —Tale of the Six Coyote
-Shinobu's Vow
Huddled at the mountain's base, we had no choice but to beat our ploughshares into swords once more.
-Hereafter
They both tell stories of desperate people on the brink of destruction who had to fight against all odds to survive.
There is also the Hereafter grimoire
Once, we had peace.
This isn't a story about peace.
Then there was darkness, destruction, despair.
This isn't a story about those things either.
This story comes much later.
It's a story about what was here, after,
And what came next.
Notice about how it refers to "This story" as Shinobu's Vow refers to the tale of Six Coyote.
There is also a legendary Hunter cloak called "The Legend of Six Coyotes" which can be purchased from the Speaker. Its description is,
A cloak fashioned after the legendary Hunters who first scouted beyond the Cosmodrome wall.
Or The Coyotes Luck legendary artifact,
A relic of the legendary Six Coyotes, the first Hunters to scout the Cosmodrome.
This connection to Shinobu's Vow is pointed out by the logo of PODEA (I think that is what it is) on the Shoulder of Shinobu's Vow. That sign is also found all over the Cosmodrome. It also has the same three colors as The Hereafter and Shinobu's Vow, light blue, orange, and white/grey.
I guess it may be an assumption that the people referred to in Hereafter's description are from Earth, but that is the picture it brings to mind. Also these people sound very much like Refugees, like the ones referred to in the description of Shinobu's Vow.
I wish you all the best and lets hope Bungie gives those damn gloves to us soon.

This theory also holds support when you see that the Hereafter is a heavily Guardian-modified gun, much like the Thunderlord, implying frequent use and in the moment, makeshift mods, which are character traits of weapons used by refugees (stereotypically). This matches the Coyote's basic description.

But hereafter and the bible reference? Also taikonaught has the same color scheme as hereafter.

I love this, nice. Also the tale of the six coyotes is referenced in a couple other spots, And may have to do with the wolf names referenced in flavor texts and the iron banner.
