I covered this before in another thread as a little side topic to a larger discussion about the Awoken, but I think should have been it's own topic. This might already be obvious to everyone, but it wasn't to me at first. I think it sheds a lot of light on The Taken King's final cinematic with Eris Morn; it is a scene that has started a lot of speculation, but the answers are there in the Grimoire and foreshadowing.
So Eris (a hunter without a ghost) met with queen Mara Sov to get her help for stopping Oryx.
"You don't have one." The Hunter came to a halt in front of the throne, raised her covered face to meet the Prince's gaze. "No," she agreed. "My next death will be my last." [...] "[...] I will do anything—" her low voice shook with passion— "to end Oryx." [...] A silence rang out in the room. The Hunter kept her head raised, her ambiguous gaze directed at the shadows in the throne where the Queen reclined. Then a small smile curved the Queen's lips. "Well said." She straightened, and leaned slightly forward so the room's light fell on her face. "So let us end him." (Ghost Fragment: The Queen 2)
In the Taken King's opening cinematic, queen Mara Sov says this:
You and I know how this ends. We've known since you escaped from that... pit. [...] This was all part of the plan. Guide them, my Hidden friend
Eris is the only one we know escaped from a pit. She said this before in Crota's End cinematic.
Six of us went down into the pit. Only one crawled out. I am Eris, the last. I have seen what the Hive call a god
We know that Eris part of the Hidden (Ikora's spies).
Eris returns to the shadows time and time again, operating as one of Ikora Rey's Hidden—a clandestine group of Guardians tasked with silently infiltrating enemy strongholds and gathering vital intel for the Warlocks. (Crota's Bane)
So it is clear that Mara Sov is speaking to Eris in the cinematic, and not Oryx as the visuals would imply. Anyway, this explains who Eris Morn was talking to at the end of the Taken King's Regicide mission when she refers to someone as "my queen." I initially assumed it must be Nokris or some new antagonist.
I don't really know or understand what the plan was between the two women, but it involves making use of multiple universes or timelines by accessing the realm existing beyond the veil.
The chamber was dark. The seven of them were rarely in a room together anymore, but this was the eve of their greatest journey, a plan that overcame death and spanned universes. (The Coven)
You guys should feel free to try to deduce what the plan was, but remember that apparently losing was all according to plan (and I doubt it's just to show the City what the dreadnought can do). Getting a guardian to fight Oryx was also part of the plan.
The Awoken have played their part. This... was all part of the plan. (TTK opening cinematic)

My queen... you were right. The guardian was the key. (Regicide ending cinematic)
So what was the entirety of the plan? How/why does it span universes and overcome death?

Nothing about Osiris being in on the plan? When Skolas predicts Oryx's arrival, Mara Soc sends a Crow both to Eris Morn and to Mercury, to Osiris. Where they discuss their plans, when Eris will do anything to end Oryx, there's a man there who Eris can't look at because he shines so brightly. Almost definitely Osiris.

I posted this in response to someone but wanted to put it here as well just to see if there are any holes in this happening... be crazy if Eris is Savathûn (the cunning one) disguised as a guardian. Maybe Eris didn't survive Crota. She had us kill Crota then assisted in killing Oryx to take his power and she allied with the Queen (who pretty much does anything to advance her own agendas) because she knew she would need help... or that we would or whatever. Perhaps Savathûn understands that neither the darkness nor the light is stronger but wants both. Another reason to ally with the awoken who are between light and dark. Could be a nice twist

Majority of Destiny fan logic: "Eris looks different than everyone else and has three green eyes so therefore she is evil and wants to work with the Hive and kill everything, and this is totally supported by the amount of time I have spent studying the lore and the thought I have put into this." WTF?

I belive that because the queen is now dead, the awoken will become an enemy. Think about it. The queens brother obviously hates us, as shown in the very begining of the game cutscene with the whole getting the chordates to the black garden, and now that the queen is dead, he will probobly be king. He modt likely diden't die in the dreadnaught weapon firing, because we didn't see him die. So its kinda like darth vaders ship spinning out in star wars where he didn't actually die. So with the brother asthennew king, and him hating us, the brother will most likely wage war upon the gaurdians, and boom. Awoken are at war with the other gaurdians, and if your gaurdian is awoken, you rebel against him along with other awoken. If this ends up happening, we could peobobly also see variks, or petra, or so eone else from the reef as a boss. Idk. I'm probobly wrong, but its just a theory.

I believe the Queen created the Aura with the Harbringers. This makes perfect sense and follows the same principles as VOG. In VOG Kabr made killing Atheon possible by sacrificing himself and creating the Relic. Now TTK. At first I thought the Queen is the Aura and guides us through the entire Raid and is the one thing in the Raid that makes it possible to Kill Oryx. See the similarities? What I would like to hear from others is that Aura? (I believe this is the "hidden friend") How did it get there? Who is the hidden friend? The Aura guides us just as the Queen instructed her "Hidden Friend" to do.

They deployed the harbingers.... Does that mean they sent them to the dreadnaught to make their own offspring and invade/take over the dreadnaught? Also like someone below said. Pretty sure Osiris was involved in the plan as well. And is to land the light that guides us through many of the missions in ttk? Also the cards where to land is speaking to us about killing the king and we should have taken his place.... There is so much to the lore (outside the game) I really hope it all comes together. Good on you for putting these posts together and helping piece the puzzle. I have so many questions still...

Eris is going to get revenge on the traveler. Why do I say this? Simple. Traveler brought the darkness. Eris and her team when down into the pit and she was changed and lost her friends. The awoken ( Mara Sov) were changed ( the same as Eris ( in a way) ) and now Eris and Mara Sov have something in common and want to end the traveler. Hence Destiny 2. I don't know what she took from the sword at the end of the cinematic. Maybe a new fond power we have yet to discover. Not that we've seen anything Eris can do. Other than levitate a green orb 24/7.

I feel we're missing a huge twist somewhere, it cant all be as it seems, in the book of sorrows it talk about how Oryx's sisters would infiltrate worlds by making themselves appear like that race. I dont know, it feels like we're not seeing something.

由Qwerty編輯: 12/10/2015 2:47:33 AMDon't forget Osiris in the plan. Theres a line of reasoning to prove the soft-spoken man that was too bright to stare at in Queen 2 is him, but on to the point. Eris wanted to stop the Hive, her part is done The Queen, and by extension the Awoken, have transcedant knowledge of sorts and are there to play their part. The Awoken are done, and according to Eris the key lies in the Guardians. Osiris, however, still has a part to play. I'm pretty sure I already talked to you about this and I have a pre-TTK thread on it and yayayaya Osiris sees the patterns and what lies beyond the veil (based on Quantum Mechanics Many-Worlds interpretation of how every choice creates a seperate universe both as real and valid as ours blah blah blah). The whole point is that when Osiris was dabbling in thanonautics and ahamkaras and what not he had tried to meet with the Nine. He found revelations about how they are weak when touching our world and that the problem was when he attempted it. Flash foward to entering the Vex Network, becoming obssessed like the Vex are with patterns (Praedyth talks more about the Vex's pattern obssession in the Paradox daily) and such. Osiris predicted Skolas, implemented the Trials to make sure we were ready for Oryx, and planned every key event so that, eventually, we can get to the right sequence of events (which will include the Nine in our world at some point).

Off topic, but I thought it said Eris' porn. After seeing her name like a billion times I don't know why that registered like that this time.

I honestly have NO idea how anyone could just randomly jump to Nokris or some random evil enemy. It has been very clear that Eris wants to destroy all Hive and not work with them. This is like the YouTube videos where people kept saying Pocket Infinity was needed for Sleeper Simulant.

just curious. That floating orb of light that is played off as something of oryx leading us along from our first mission. Could that instead be somehow the queen? There is for sure more to come in this story though one way or the other. I also think you have the story correct with the queen and Eris.
