SCOTUS: 80% chance law will be branded unconstitutional
If the Supreme Court voted for the much more controversial health care law to stay, this will undoubtedly die as Americans become less and less homophobic according to the polls.
Anyways, what's your thoughts on the Westboro Baptist Church-Conservative alliance?

由HurtfulTurkey編輯: 3/28/2013 12:21:39 AM“Our culture has accepted two huge lies. The first is that if you disagree with someone’s lifestyle, you must fear or hate them. The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don’t have to compromise convictions to be compassionate.” There is a massive difference between advocating against gay marriage and telling people they're going to burn in hell. Conservatives and WBC are not united against gay marriage, mostly because WBC doesn't give two shits about politics.

I disagree with WBC 100%, but I really lol'd at the sign in OP's picture that had the stick figures -blam!-ing and the upside down flag.

The supreme court will probably refuse to even hear the case, because marriage has never been a right and government should not have ever been involved with marriage.

I really don't see what's wrong with being gay. It was socially acceptable in the ancient Greek and Roman times.

I'm not surprised. The Westboro Baptist Church has always been against gay marriage and homosexuality in general. As for conservatives, they are generally against progress in most areas. I suppose marriage would be one of them. The only thing I fear about gay marriage (which doesn't bother me at all, I'm for it) is the fact that in ten to twenty years we could see other people stepping up to the plate demanding the right to marry. For example, what if a father wants to marry his daughter? A disturbing thought, but it's happened before.

Too bad even God hosted a gay "marriage" once, He specifically says what parts of homosexuality is good and what parts are bad with Solomon. The idea of marriage in the first place is pretty different from what people are thinking and what it was back then. Joseph and Mary didn't really have a ceremony and just lived together, nothing more. Hebrews would celebrate yes but it was nothing like modern day marriages. The Bible doesn't even mention gays that much anyway, not even when talking about Sodom.

由Section Ratio General編輯: 4/2/2013 7:50:23 AMGay marriage isn't recognized/banned in many parts of the US. Yet, having sex with a horse is alright in 23 states. >>>

My prediction: phelps, every conservative radio & TV host, and the lead spokesmen for the conservative movement will all be in a semi darkened room hen the verdict is read. If Gay Marriage is legalized, they will all strip, have a gay orgy, and then drink poisonous kool aid.

I don't even see the big deal here. Whether the law is passed or not gay people will continue to be gay and have partners and what they do in the privacy of their own homes is no concern of ours. I mean, unless being gay is banned or something nothing much will change other than the legal status of gay couples, which does not effect straight people whatsoever. It's like if you have an apple and then the government asks you if it's okay to give this other person an apple and even though it won't effect you or your apple in any way you're against it for no logical reason.
