Xur needs to be nurfed
It is apparent that we all know the friendly face of our weekly dealer 'Xur'. Now to be honest the idea is great, but we need to sit here and think for a minute. As well as being very helpful, he has become very iconic for new players to obtain 'easy' loot for a price of a few measly coins. Before you bombard me with hate, you should hear me out and I'm sure all the hardcore fans will agree. Xur is an amazing idea but there are flaws that need to be addressed.
1. His armour and weapons are a bit 'under priced'
2. Equipment is very easy to obtain and feels unrewarding to players who gain them the hard way
3. The chances of everyone having the item is increased to higher odds
Now I'm not saying we just whine to have it removed, that would be too easy. The real solution to this (that benefits the more deserving players) is to simply increase the purchase value by a few coins. as it stands, I believe it is 13 strange coins for 'all' armour pieces that are available to buy every single week. Weapons vary depending on if Bungie are feeling generous. To solve this problem I would say that the value needed to purchase equipment should be increased by 9 (13 strange coins > 22). The reason? well it's pretty simple. Most of the players out there know that a single lvl 28 weekly heroic mission pays out 9 strange coins upon completion. It would make sense that you should have to complete the weekly heroic strike with all three characters to obtain a sum of 27 strange coins, so that you can spend your money on 'one' item a week. Is it unfair? at first it may seem so, but as time goes on it would just drive players to work hard for their equipment. What if you can't play often? well there is another solution, if Bungie implemented another vendor that sells legendary equipment, then players who can't keep up with Xur can still buy equipment and reach level 29.

I think a simple solution would be make strange coins harder to obtain...simple 3 for the level 28 weekly instead of 9 this means when with three characters it would take the weekly and some luck to get even armor once a week...if not lucky on the engrams there is always next week

5 回覆No way dude there's so many people that only run one character and don't play for hours on end I missed out on ghorn and suros because I didn't have enough coins. Now I'm lucky to get 15 since I can now beat the 28 heroic. So it's tough for some players to come up with the coins. I don't give a -blam!- if you get 300 coins a week. The only people that get upset are the ones running three characters and doing the weeklys and raid 3 times and getting all the shit then get mad when someone can buy it.

Xur is fine how is is the only reason this thread exists is probably because your another person who had the Kat word before Xur and is just angry because you can't brag to your friends that they have it and you don't. Let Xur be Xur and just keep playing before you ruin the game for everyone

It would totally take the fun out of the game. For People who don't have time to play as much xur is a life saver, I think I would enjoy playing with a brand new exotic gun bought from xur more than grinding for strange coins all week and missing the dateline for the gun that i really wanted. I only have one good lvl 30 character and one 25 lvl. I only pull 15 coins a week (maybe a little more from engrams) and Barely make enough for one exotic gun a week. And I don't think anyone wants to settle for a legendary. There's a reason everyone pursues exotics more.

Wouldn't matter if they increased the price. He's been selling pretty much the same gear for weeks now. I'm just sitting on coins from strikes and engrams anyways. It's to the point where I'm spending coins on synths and telemetries. The weapons aren't a problem either since you can only equip one exotic at a time. Not like everyone is running around in pvp with Suros, Icebreakers and Truths. Xûr gives a chance for gamers who can't play all the time to be able to snag a few gems or for people who can't get lucky with drops and engrams. The problem isn't with him. It's with RNG.

4 回覆I for one never have a good time with ring, I suck with luck and gambling. Xur is my best friend in this game, and if he's nerfed I will be so pissed at the community. I don't care if people don't feel "special" and or feel like they've worked hard for those lucky drops. If you want to feel special, work on your skill. Be the best with that weapon everyone has.

3 回覆Highly agree with your post. Xur either needs to sell exotic engrams or sell the items for more strange coins. I easily rack up 70 coins a week. Even for people who don't play as much 13 coins are so easy to get. I don't understand why it takes way more time to get 120 vanguard marks or crucible marks AND rank 2 or 3 for LEGENDARY items yet we can get EXOTICS for wayy less work. I mean come on :/ there really does need to be a change. I bought 3 last words today like it was nothing >.> not that its an issue they just need to cost more. Primary weapons - 32-35 strange coins Special weapons/heavy weapons - 24 - 28 strange coins Armor pieces - 18 - 23 strange coins Or bounties for the 13/23 coins

1 回覆Agreed. It's too simple. Maybe being able to purchase bounties for strange coins instead? Or a quest line to achieve what you want from this. It would help dive deeper into the story of the nine. If all if this is too much work, just maje them all engrams, only 15 coins. Weapons and all armor. Quick fix to satisfy everyone.
