I found Halo 4s campaign was very good except they didn't explain who the Didact and Librarian were. Unless you read the books you would have no clue.
Multiplayer was just terrible it was just tacky and lacked refinement which an early beta build could have helped. Plus Infinity Slayer is terrible for many reasons mainly as you couldn't play Halo how we did in 2 and 3. Reach was a far better and polished engine.
They were explained along with their title so you had an idea of what their role is. Check Halo 4 again it just gives you names and no explanation. As if your expected to know who they are before you play. Something I picked up on first time through and had to explain to friends who never read or watched the terminals.
Like for example Captain Del Rio (even though he is an idiot) just mentions never having this kind of offensive reaction before from other installations, but never asks once who the Didact is. Bit retarded as he just attacked Infinity.
Only bad thing I picked up on really.
They were explained along with their title so you had an idea of what their role is.
Along with their titles? Wait, what explanation was given other than their titles? I mean, hell, even their names and titles aren't indicative of who they are.
What about a greek abyss of eternal torment says, "Hey this guy is Chieftain of the Brutes!"
Truth doesn't tell the truth, in fact he deceives and lies.
Regret never shows regret for what he does.
Halo 4 again it just gives you names and no explanation.
And what explanation was given in regards to the new characters of Halo 2 that surpasses the Halo 4 explanations. At least who they are is in the Terminals which shipped with the game, while with Tartarus, Truth, Mercy, and Regret, you needed to buy a book that came out in 2007.
(even though he is an idiot)
Which he's not.
just mentions never having this kind of offensive reaction before from other installations, but never asks once who the Didact is. Bit retarded as he just attacked Infinity.
Del Rio's understanding of who the Didact is in Reclaimer's closing cutscene is more than evident that we did not witness everything to occur on Infinity, we only saw the key moments most relevant to advancing the narrative.
In the cutscene of where Johnson hammers on about Regret it's there that Miranda Keyes mentions the Prophets of Truth, Mercy and Regret. The Covenant Hierarchs (so guys in charge). This is also reinforced in others scenes later where the Prophets and Tarterus give orders to others.
Come on Del Rio dissed the Chief! No one messes with the Chief!
