Some parents are bad, and some are good. Don't say that parents don't do their jobs anymore without some evidence, because that's a pretty sweeping statement.

You're right about that. But I have observed a trend and that was just my prediction. If I were to go through the Scientific Method to do this and research it, not that many people would be willing or the test(s) would be heavily inaccurate due to people trying to prove they're not good parents or not that many people willing to participate in the experimental control group.

From my perspective, it seems like most parents are very strict. At least, they are with my friends. Who knows whether or not this is representative of anything (probably not). Your post is good and all, but the generalizations that are made sort of ruin it.

That's true, my generalization does really hurt my case. I could try researching into this to see if my hypothesis will hold merit, but to do this, I'd have to randomly select people from all age brackets ranging from teen moms to mothers in their 30's at the least. That would cover the age difference, but for the quality of the experiment, it wouldn't be very good because this town is... Well, this town is the 17th most miserable city in the USA, if that would give any perspective.

The internet gives normal people a way to share the stupid things that everyone does in private with the whole world. In past generations, kids/teens still did unimaginably stupid things, but there was no facebook to post it on, so it went largely unnoticed. Now, when someone does something stupid, it's on facebook minutes afterward. It isn't an increase in stupidity, it's an increase in awareness of stupidity that has always just gone unnoticed. So the internet generations probably do get a bit more flack for stuff they do, but it isn't because we're more stupid. Sorry if this is rambling. It's really late, and I'm tired.
