Its kinda ironic that you post this, because you are far more likely to run across someone saying "Its that way because God made it so." when polling Right wingers as opposed to Left wingers. This isn't a blanket statement about everybody in either side, but the Right tends to have more people like this. I get the feeling you and everyone else responding with left-right comments didn't read the post, nor did you comprehend the title. It isn't a matter of people being close-minded; it's a matter of close-minded people claiming to be open minded. Out of all the arguments the Right is wont to use, claiming that they themselves are open-minded doesn't seem to be a common tactic.
