Anyways, the original series sucked after Sasuke left because there was literally like 100 episodes of filler. Shippuden was fantastic all the way through, until recently, because even the filler generally felt relevant to the actual plot. However, the plot itself is piss poorly written. So that's definitely the problem.

It turned from 'ninja kids' to 'everybody has super powers.' It's not even about ninjas anymore. It's about who can create the biggest monster to battle. That aside? Brought back everybody who died in a jutsu that is a total cop out. People who died just come back to life like nothing happened? How convenient he had a jutsu like that. Bringing back the dead and you can control them? How convenient. That too aside? The story, filler ALSO aside, goes something like this: Save village, save other village, become higher rank ninja, save village, save friend, save other friend, find friend, save village, save world, save village, save village, stop bad guys, get new bad guys, save village, save other other friend, save world, keep saving world that lasts forever due to ridiculous plot twists that keep the story going just for the sake of it going. He just keeps adding on bad guy after bad guy, story after story, just to continue it. The series should have long ended.

I just completely agree with you...No wonder I loved the first Naruto series (Part 1) better! I agree it should have ended. I mean look at the hand signs in shippuden oh wait there are none. There is no concentrate chakra or funny jokes that are non-cheesy ones and the hand signs just disappeared in shippuden. The old one had a much better story and it was more creative especially in term of jutsus. I loved the new one till after pain...that's when most of what you said showed itself in the show the most. Obito destroy the world over a girl? Haha! But I still watch it though because I actually like it...haha! :)
