let me set the scene: me and mine are gearing up to finish vesper's host after completing the fourth puzzle for the exotic's catalyst. we're heading across the final platforming bit, and i get weaseled all the way back to the title screen. nbd, it was my internet that threw a tantrum, this happens from time to time. my buddies are on their way up to where atrax is hanging out when i spawn back in, in mechanics part 1 room. the shiny light ball is there, even though my friends haven't activated atrax. out of an abundance of curiosity and a smidge of impish delight, i approach the ball and the encounter begins. my friends get pulled to the encounter, NOBODY has rallied, but -blam!- it we do it live. fast forward to getting yeeted up the shaft to damage phase. there stands atrax, ready to get supered. there, too, stands atrax, standing in supplication to the anomaly. our supers hit both of them, and she turns around and teleports away. the initial wipe mechanic has been triggered. we perish, unable to do anything except giggle in the face of discovery.
