I recently found out, after farming for days, that prestiging Vanguard Rep does nothing for legacy nightfall weapons. I opened 5 wendigo's, got no multi-perks. I thought it was weird, but fine, I was just being unlucky. Prestige 3 mind you. I drop another 5, nothing. I try the Cynosure, it immediately gets 3-2 perk rolls. I am shaken. I get keeping the best of the best weapons behind activities themselves or high bars to clear, but these are "Legacy" weapons that you can't even farm for normally anymore. They are niche by nature, and things have gotten so much stronger since those weapons were peak. They are for collectors and people with ultra specific needs and build crafting. They should be more farmable than they are. If I put, on average, 4 hours of grinding into resetting my rank, multiply that by 3 or 4 prestige's, that's 12-16 hours of dedication. That, I believe, merits opening the door to at least the opportunity of getting the rolls we want on weapons that have already had their time in the sun. Heck, Wicked Sister is one of the best HGLs in the game, and I can farm multi-perk rolls on that right next door. Please, Mr. Bungie, tear down this wall.
