It dawned on me when facing some Barrier champions in the daily Master Lost Sector that you cannot hit precision damage when their shield is up. So after researching some [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KBlWIq0nks]videos[/url] from [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfUeR3SfWv8]seasons[/url] prior when we did have Anti-Barrier Sniper as an artifact mod, we used be able to deal precision damage to Barrier Champions when their shield was up. I don't know when this change was to remove precision damage but it must've been fairly recent since we used to be able to hit the Barrier Champion for precision damage inside their shield in prior seasons even back in Shadow Keep when Champions first launched. I checked that this was the case for both Anti-Barrier Sidearm and Sniper along with other weapons from Eriana's Vow, Arbelest, and Wish-Ender, to the subclass verbs Radiant, Volatile Rounds, and Unraveling Rounds. None of them can hit for precision damage. This is to the extreme detriment of Anti-Barrier Sniper especially since the bulk of their damage comes from their high precision damage multiplier. Please let Anti-Barrier weapons crit again.
