Hi Guys! I am a returning player to Destiny and decided to hop on the "power grind" train. All going very well so far, until today when i claimed 2 powerful engrams from Xur(Rank rewards). The displayed power level on the vendor menu, was 2000, but when i decoded the engram it dropped a sword at 1997 and a pulse rifle also at 1997. I read in the forums that you no longer need to equip your highest power items, did i misunderstand? Did i do something wrong? If i missed a post about this here, please link it, i apologise but i did not find anything with the search feature Thanks!
