Rotation of meta.
From day one bungie has had a “good and bad” with every element of the game.
It means they can play around and lift up and weaken elements of the game and weapons to give new things to do and grind for etc.And provide new content for creators.
Never any balance and you should not hold on to this as the evidence tells you not to.
Just enjoy the ride as they do what they want.
My opinion anyway.

They claimed this as their stated goal one time years ago and people are still hanging on to that. If that was actually true, they wouldn’t bother nerfing Prismatic at all. Again, these other subs are not being nerfed due to their own strength at all. They are literally just collateral damage to Prismatic nerfs. It’s not a problem we had before Prismatic existed.

I dont thinks it’s entirely for creators as it’s more for them to give us something new to do and drive engagement. I’m just glad that at least they went all in with the exotics they are releasing and they all focus on stasis which is what they want us using at this time. I always hated how they would put the focus on let’s say void for example then release 3 exotics and only one was void related and two were pve related.
