You have more competition in CQ now.....as it should be. Adapt.

If in the Salvations Edge raid only 3 Titans particiapeted out of 300 guardians (50x6) during the World First race in the Top 50 teams, then there is something horribly wrong with the subclasses and Titans "melee class role".

To an extent, Bungie has gotten better at separating PvE / PvP buffs / nerfs. In PvE you can have whatever you want. I've seen the figures. But in PvP .....absolutely not. CQ has been tilted for far too long. Titan mains need to adapt their game.
