Other games use such forms of crossplay, why can't Destiny use it too? I switched to PC for the graphics, not to play with mouse and keyboard.
Currently, every match I play I have to deal with players that are:
* Way faster in reaction
* Way better in aiming (due to balance-difference between input devices)
* Way faster in movement utilization
I want to have fun in PvP, Bungie. Not torture myself instead there. My only fun option for PvP should't be to take out my Xbox and play on Xbox again. And learning M/K is not an option with my IRL handicaps and the time it takes to get really good at it.
I have been playing shooters with controller for half my life. That's nothing that one simply does exchange for different input devices.
So please, give people like me the option to limit the game input to Controller-only on PC and let me matchmake with the Console playerpool.
Edit: For those "brilliant" people saying "but what if someone swaps input mid-game?"... You know games can be hard-coded that way to require a full game restart for game settings to be applied? Just slam the input selection into one of those game settings that require a full game restart to be applied and that problem is gone before it even exists...

If you feel like you're at a disadvantage playing against another input device, then you can switch to it. I say the say thing all the time to mnk players complaining about controllers. If you really don't want to use or play against mnk then switch back to console.

由BraddyBo編輯: 4/26/2023 9:03:06 AMRegardless of input, pc players should always be in their own pool. The vast majority of console players have this view and I actually avoid pvp games altogether that combine pc/console with or without “input based mm”. What you should be asking for is input based mm within the pc pool. Asking for pc controller players to be allowed in the console pool means pc hackers will also be allowed in, then the hacking problem will no longer be purely a pc problem. Edit: Also, pc has a massive advantage over console in terms of specs that far outweighs the argument of controller vs m&k.

Could you imagine Bungie allowing PC lobbies onto Consoles, followed by cheat developers, finding a way to go around Bungies set parameters and then waiting a year or two for Bungie to fix it? No thanks. Learn PC or comeback to Console is your best bet.

由Muffincup編輯: 4/26/2023 4:12:19 AMBecause I see some responses being a bit too definitive... I agree on input. I play on Steam, and I swear by controller. I'm totally ok with crossplay, but I think it should be device input based. I will never touch a mouse and keyboard for gaming for multiple reasons, but the biggest being, it causes alot of physical pain for the wrists, and lets be honest nobody needs that extreme of a sensitivity, its ridiculous. Other reasons include: - Too many keys to memorize. - Its just not natural. If I'm shooting its natural to have a grip and trigger. - Hand numbing. My circulation is stupid, I cannot use mouse and keyboard for anything but writing. It takes no time for fingers and hands to go numb. Even in FL Studio music production I use a tablet and stylus. I hold my own just fine with a controller, but for the sake of a bit better balance overall, I think its a reasonable thing. Though this game is so far gone, on such outdated systems, I guarantee there is no way it will ever be balanced. I firmly believe it is impossible. So in those regards its probably a waste to try anything new with Destiny 2, especially since Bungie I believe, confirmed the game is actually done after Final Shape. Don't quote me on that part, but I feel like I read about that recently. I read alot😂 it can be easy to forget stuff. These are all valid reasons, and for some M&K is the better option, for these same reasons, its very person dependent. Both have their advantages.
