As a disclaimer, I'm fully aware that Vex Mythoclast is classified as a Fusion Rifle and therefore takes from Fusion Rifle mods. However, its functionality is the reason for this post.
With the latest patch as of 18/04/2023, all primary weapon types received a 20% damage buff (Scouts got 10%) in PvE to catch up with SMGs, since SMGs have been the dominant primaries for a very long time.
This, naturally, included Exotic primaries of the same types. However, due to its classification as a Fusion Rifle, Vex Mythoclast was not buffed.
The problem with this is that Mythoclast functions identically to a High-Impact 360 rpm Auto Rifle in its primary firing mode (albeit with a slightly higher RoF at 390). I firmly believe this to be an oversight.
Its Linear Fusion mode should not be buffed, it's fine where it is. But, it's primary fire SHOULD be buffed by the same 20% due to it, in essence, being an Auto Rifle.
By Mythoclast not receiving the same buff, it's automatically been power-crept by actual Exotic Auto Rifles, despite functioning the same way as them with its primary fire.
EDIT: Not to mention, despite its Fusion Rifle classification, its Linear mode WAS hit by the 15% LFR damage nerf, and previous general LFR changes such as the aim-assist nerf. This is a crucial example of functionality taking precedence over classification.

It was stated by bungie somewhere that vex mythoclast gets treated as a high impact frame auto rifle when it comes to balancing the weapon. I’m not sure why it didn’t get the buff if that is the case.

It’s primary fire mode benefited from particle deceleration many moons ago because “it’s a fusion rifle” and not an AR. Does the Rain of Fire warlock exotic give you the radiant effect on a 360 rpm AR kill? No, it doesn’t. Does it give you the radiant effect on Vex’s primary fire mode kills? Yes, it does. You can continue to debate and insult people all want in this thread, the Vex is a fusion rifle and only benefits from buffs to fusion rifles no mater how similar it’s primary fire mode is to a slow firing AR. No matter how you try to spin it’s functionality, it is not an AR and will not receive buffs/nerfs that effect AR’s.

To the end of your post , linear is a different type of fusion, just like both linear and regular fusions both Benifeted from particle deceleration And Graviton Lance is classified has a pulse, but performs like a scout?, does that mean it should have only got a 10% buff
-
No. Auto Rifles needed a buff so badly while Vex did not. Just because they feel the same doesn't mean anything. Machine guns feel like auto rifles, so machine guns should've gotten the same buff too? I think not.

Just plz stfu some of us have 50 plus clears and no vex still and actually read the twabs that said vex wasn't getting buffed might get nerfed though
-
You clearly didn't read the twab they never once said it would be buffed it's a fusion not auto rifle
As a disclaimer, I'm fully aware that Vex Mythoclast is classified as a Fusion Rifle and therefore takes from Fusion Rifle mods.
I'm confused, you understand why it didn't get the AR buff but you still made the post, why?

Since we are making stupid posts Xeno fires like a scout should that get the scout rifle buff

Either bungie needs to buff it or reconsider the nerf they were planning because yes Bungie said during an interview during a stream that Vex was on their nerf radar.
(albeit with a slightly higher RoF at 390).
It's a fusion rifle. Plain and simple. Your metric would also argue that because a 600 rpm SMG (Shayura for example) functions the same as a 600 AR, it should have gotten the buff too. Just because Vex has the same range as a High impact AR, doesn't make it an AR. Perhaps it should be nerfed 15% because it functions like a LFR?

It’s fine, it was already outperforming other primary exotics, source: 57k kills on vex.

Vex is a fusion. Thats why its damage gets buffed everytime fusions got a buff. It litterally says on the weapon fusion rifle. Only auto's got the buff. How it shoots doesnt matter. Otherwise devils ruin and 1K would get the trace rifle buff. Or cerberus would get a shotgun buff. Every weapon identifies as what it says on the gun

Can you even read what you wrote yourself? It has an alt LFR firing mode therefore the LFR nerf suits accordingly. It's called AN ALT LFR FIRING MODE. The weapon is not an AR even remotely, it's a primary fusion, and doesn't need a buff. If also isn't out classed by other exotic ARs.
