hi, for starters, im really sorry if any of my doubts are being answered in a previous twab or patch note, but you have to understand that there are just so many changes that came with lightfall, it's just impossible for me to keep track of all of them, so im really sorry if bungie already answered this. Currently, i have a question about how the elemental surge works after the release of lightfall as a free to play player. Basically, at the time of writing this (March 5), the current "elemental surge" present in the vanguard ops is Stasis, only stasis. And as a f2p player, i obviously don't have stasis because i need Beyond Light (it was made free for a single week when season of the seraph launched, but once that week was finished everything went back to how it was before). Because of that, i seem to be unable to get the pinnacle from vanguard ops this week. i tried running stasis weapons, but it didn't affect the outcome, i tried instead using solar subclass and weapons (since there's currently a solar "threat" perk next to the surge perk) and nothing, i gain 0 progress for the pinnacle regardless of what i do or what i have equipped. i went to reddit and saw some people having the same issue, and players suggested doing the current nightfall, because (at least from what they're saying) nightfalls have a second perk that's like the elemental surge, but for light subclasses. the problem is: the current nightfall is the proving grounds, an old battleground mission from season of the chosen. but that's the issue, battlegrounds are tied to the DLC they came with, so to do the proving grounds as a nightfall, i still need to buy the Beyond Light expansion. is there anything im missing? am i doing something wrong? or should i just skip this week's vanguard pinnacle and focus on just gambit/crucible? i play mostly PvE and in the many years i've been playing, this is the first time i haven't been able to get the vanguard pinnacle. is it intended or is it a bug? [b]TL;DR:[/b] im a [b]F2P[/b] player that doesn't have [b]Beyond Light[/b], which means [b]i don't have Stasis[/b] and can't do the current nightfall either ([b]Proving Grounds[/b] is tied to Beyond Light), the current [b]Elemental Surge[/b] is Stasis, is there any way i can get the Vanguard [b]Pinnacle[/b]? or should i just let this week pass?
