If bungie wants to keep sbmm they need to reward highskill players more.
Its like doing a master/grandmaster nightfall and getting regular strike loot.
This will give ppl a reason to improve at pvp and keep sbmm.
Also lets be real sbmm isnt skill based if matches are decided by connection.

It’s more like you used to be able to do 1350 Power strikes for pinnacles, and now you gotta do Nightfalls to get the same pinnacles. You’re so used to getting mid rewards from easy gameplay that you think it’s the standard, now that Bungie has finally fixed the long-standing issue that is CBMM.

This isn't a tournament, it isn't Trials, you don't get prizes beyond the already present winner's prizes just because you're actually playing in and around your league. With SBMM everyone is struggling and being challenged at an approximately equal amount. Just because higher CR players no longer have beginners to farm the life out of new blood as well as have to play against mirrors of themselves, "sweats" like themselves, Meta builds, optimal stats, Meta Handcannons (Adept) and Shotguns (Timelost) like themselves does not give you special privileges here. If anything give lower CRs special rewards for the year for being crapped on by CBMM for all these YEARS.

Gatekeeping loot for the sake of ego is a horrible idea. It's never not been a horrible idea. That's why everybody hates trials except the trials sweats, and why the game mode is on its way to its third death in 3 years.

由The icon of sin編輯: 9/6/2022 2:19:52 PMTheres no reason not to increase the loot incentive for better players and reward good players. Because atm good players are getting punished with bad connections and longer que times. "Just play strikes" doesnt work when we are talking about pvp loot.

Oké ill make the it simpler for you the fact that you think you have harder matches and are getting punished is due to the fact that you know sbmm is active and you see a number go down. But without this knowledge you would just play the game and enjoy it. En there is no achievement in life that something earn is something that will stay.. so the example that you consider your self good in crusible due to many hours practice and weaker opponents, will not state that the future will stay this way. If you would start crusible this season and never played before but where great at fps games. And not know about the sbmm changes you would ether enjoy the crusible or not. That’s the pair of glasses these quote on quote great players need to put on. Don’t forget you are a consumer of a product don’t like it don’t buy it. But complaining about the company policy and asking for special treatment because you have x amount of hours in a game doesn’t make you entitled to anything. You don’t own shares or value. And the thing that due hold value prbly made the sbmm changes. And the only thing you have to do is decide to ether participation or not. Realy not that difficult

What number? Kd? who cares about that? I mainly want lag free matches. I dont care about going negative. I mainly use off meta build and if i can just get the 1 satisfying kill the build is going for, then thats all i want out of a pvp match. Fox example fighting lion + a sniper for insane quickswap quickscope trickshot kind kills. But if sbmm is to stay then ppl gotta get more rewards for this. I know it wont happen but its a nice utopian wish to throw into the void. Nothing wrong with that right? Just more rewards for everyone from pvp in general would be nice. Sbmm killed pvp for me once before and made me skip a season. Every match was lag fest, everyone had the same loadout and being a off meta player it was not fun to compete. It killed all creativity in the game. Maybe it was more the meta in general that ruined it, but i definetly need to play more to compare. My current sample size is too small.

3 v 3 gamemodes suck imo, its slower, a boring meta fest, no room for fun/creative builds. I like the chaos of 6v6 theres, only ib has what i want out of destiny pvp and thats only twice a season now. Regular control should feel as rewarding as ib imo. Expecting good connections should be the baseline in all pvp modes, regardless of matchmaking settings. I just hope the new game mode isnt worse than rift. (havent been able to play ib since i prioritize doing kf, its way too good to skip it for anything else when starting a new week)

Ok well then deal with not getting special loot from a non-comp playlist. If you want special loot, go play Trials. What you're doing is the equivalent of demanding grandmaster level loot from non-nightfall strikes.
-
originally i ment the nightfall comparison just as a example for difficulty, not as a benchmark for loot. but as time goes my opinion slightly changed, its maybe a bit elitist to demand more rewards based on skill. But rewards need a buff as a whole in pvp, it needs more reasons to play it. It needs to be close to iron banner imo, ib also needs a massive increase in loot because its only around for 2 times per season. I just find it difficult to have a propper debate about it, everyone is so toxic and lack understanding.

Eey there are a few problems with the analysis you make where sinuous draw the line.. when does witch player get more incentive? When are you good ? What reward do I get when?…. En second I love when players use off meta.. but off meta is only possible when you play slightly bad players but those ppl need to use the meta against slight better players so the only thing change now is that everybody need to use meta but I feel where you are comming from you got f over

Those are good questions of when does player 1 get rewarded more? And what it takes to make player 1 feel more rewarded for their skill. Just spitbaling: As for question 1 could be using a elo system with brackets. With that much elo you get this reward "package deal" (Elo drops when you leave matches, to fix the ungoing leaving problem) Question 2 could be as simple as more weapon drops, higher armor stats on drops, adding rng based shaders with higher droprate at higher elo. More ranking xp for shaxx(so they get faster resets for more perks on guns).

No they’re not. Trials is end game PVP and Control isn’t. They’ll never give special loot in a basic mode. It’s so funny they changed one mode in PVP and sone act like it’s unfair. Everyone knew it was coming after 6 stacks farmed low level players for years in control and padded their KDs.

Sbmm has failed over and over again. It got so bad during shadowkeep that ppl only matched the same ppl. Sbmm has no place in a casual mode. If you make it competitive with sbmm the rewards gotta reflect this to give a reason to get better and play more difficult opponents. The whole kd scrubs vs kd warriors thing have essentially the same arguments but they flip based on sbmm vs cbmm. Also why are you against beter rewards in pvp?

由gabezilla101編輯: 9/6/2022 6:54:27 PMBecause they’ll never give better rewards in basic PVP outside of possibly making certain weapons available to craft. It would make chasing Trials weapons pointless. I’m not against better rewards but I’m also not delusional about it either. They should rework comp though to entice more players with different things.
