It is hilarious how a Glaive shield can block everything and reduce the damage taken by roughly 60-80%. Even from Melee attacks that are empowered by Knockout. Just add a "player damage blocked consumes energy" mechanic and that would solve a lot of problems with them. You (Bungie) can't expect me and others to run Stasis as Counter all the time while a Glaive user can "Death from Above" shoulder charge into a crowd with Dunemarcher Chaining, hitting everyone weak and finishing off players easily with the glaive shots to gain shield energy. Such builds are simply too strong with the current downsides to glaives.
like every gun when they are not used a lot every players say no you are nob etc etc, but after they start getting used all players see the problem, just like hunter omni last season
Yesterday I point-blank shotgun melee'd someone with a glaive twice and he still had shields. I haven't played in a while and I can already tell there's an issue.
They were slept on. Hence why they were buffed lol. Will be awhile until that gets adjusted unless folks rally behind using nothing but it in pvp to prove a point.
