Problem: You’re expecting a “competitive mindset” in an environment that is supposed to be [i]recreational (“casual”).[/i] This is the problem in a nutshell. There is no seperation between these different goals. Expecting someone who is playing in the equivalent of an after work softball “beer league” to spend time everyday practicing is not reasonable. So expecting them to play against professional players is not reasonable…. …and their not enjoying that experience and complaining about it is perfectly reasonable. They want to play against others with their same mindset. Likewise, if you’re going to insist that others “work to get better” then it is reasonable to expect to play against those who have done the work. IOW, SBMM.

Most people don't even want to play pvp. Nobody except tryhards care about getting better at Destiny 2 crucible. People are forced in for various reasons by Bungie so they deal with it until its done. SBMM makes it a little more bearable for the vast majority.

Can't really practice when they spend the majority of the match in the respawn screen. Nor can they really get good with weapons they want to use when they are forced to use the meta in a playlist that is supposed to be chill and casual, but no, even in control people out here caring more about a win. All while not realizing that the reason sbmm was introduced was so incoming Fortnite new lights didn't get their backs blown out on arrival.
