One usable super out of 7 total supers (8 if you separate the two versions of Nova Bomb) in end game pve content isn't exactly ideal. It would be great to be able to use any super and not be a detriment to the team instead of being locked into running well all the time.

Titans who have thundercrash and require and exotic to make it usable... and that's it for endgame.... Bubble is useless, hammers and maul are just pincushions with no actual uses or damage output, sentinel takes you out of the fight completely, fist of havok.... Nah, behemoth ice?

Chaos Reach isn't far behind thunder crash and it's done at a safe distance, and Shadebinder is probably the best non-boss phase super. So they've got 3 competitive supers. Titans have 2 competitive supers. The only outlier are hunters with 4. Either way every class can play in the meta (now).

But Thundercarash does the damage in a burst method and has an exotic that keeps you safe after using it where chaos reach takes almost an entire damage phase and you have to basically make yourself a sitting duck to use it. Therefore they are not equal.

The shield Falling Star gives you is a suggestion at best in higher level content and between traveling, recovering and repositioning the super has quite a bit of downtime that comes with it all things considered.

As I mentioned, you can do Chaos Reach in the position of safety. Therefore, it has no business being as strong. Typically when you use thunder crash you have to fly back to the Well in other to go back to doing DPS; whereas with chaos Reach you just start shooting without being in harms way. It wouldn't be balanced to have the power of thunder crash while being a safe distance away. That privilege is reserved for hunters lol.
