Sniping in D2 regardless of input is incredibly easy. The game literally aims for you. Aim assist/bullet magnetism across the board needs reduced, but that’ll never happen because all the bots would whine.
I’m a 2.4 overall, and a 3.0 in trials. The amount of times I’ve come across like a 1.2 hitting stupid snipes is just incredible. There’s little to no learning curve, besides maybe a day of repetition. Let’s not even get started on the broken flinch mechanics lol.

A LOT of controller snipers are mad about this post, I’m literally calling myself out as well, I constantly used to think that I was some good sniper when in reality the game did it for me. I wrote about that observation here and people take it as a personal attack. I wrote about a million other things, and I even said that SMGS and pulses were dumb on MnK. I brought up multiple balance issues, everyone thinks that I’m satan for calling out the soft aimbot that this game has with half of its snipers. I wasn’t special either, it’s a broken game mechanic.

I tell people all the time this games AA has turned me into a lazy potato when it comes to controller sniping. The ease of flicks and reticlle stickiness and large hit boxes spoil us. I tried to snipe in battlefield the other day, wasn't pretty.

Yeah for sure, and that’s because a lot of controller snipers have an ego that they can snipe in a game that requires little skill to master sniping lol. There’s been plenty of times where I’ve hit snipes and actively admitted that should not have been a headshot. Some players in this game would be nothing without the amount of aim assist/bullet magnetism it offers. On top of all the cheese builds and weapons like fusions lol. That’s another topic though.
