If you run too far or skip areas in Nightfalls you can make champions despawn. If you make champions despawn it counts as not killing them and therefore you cannot get platinum. If you dont get platinum you do not get ANY nightfall rewards. No weapon, no cores, no prisms, no shards, NOTHING.
PLEASE STOP!!!!!
We are not playing these Nightfalls for the end of strike chest for 3 legendary shards. We are doing them for the WEAPONS.

Why does anyone run Adept or Hero level Nightfall's? Legit question. I can't think of one good reason to run this low tier garbage. The rewards are useless, putting up with inept blueberries is painful and and any bounties you want to complete could be done easily on Legend or Master difficulty and you can do it SOLO. I just don't get it.
-
Get a team or make specific lfg posts.. if you’re talking about not skipping champions outside of master/GM that’s a waste of time. The only reason people would be running lower tier nightfalls is probably for bounties, red border completion and crafted weapon leveling(33% per completion)

Optional matchmaking would fix this in a heartbeat. Guardian Games proved this 100X over. Giving players an option to play how they want is a positive especially if it is legal. Optional matchmaking is literally a middle ground for all players to meet. You can matchmake or you could solo.
-
Umm, no. If you want that, get a team. You use mm, you get people with their own agendas. You got some nerve trying to dictate to other people. Get your head out of the no no zone.

I looked at you, you could be doing ‘em in legend or even master at your level

由LikwiD_SmOkE22編輯: 8/8/2022 7:01:53 PMGo into the opening of grasp. To go up one level it takes 140 kills. It takes 140 to extract deepsight resonance as well. Extracting a pattern it takes 120 kills. Honestly you're wasting time running nightfalls on adept or hero as it is. People are rushing through adept & hero for the reputation rank. They are never going to stop doing that. So either run those with 2 friends or you can do what I suggested in grasp of avarice.

Makes me laugh when I think back to previous posts calling for matchmaking in all activities. People can't even grasp the concept of platinum rewards.

Buddy Here the real fact Nobody play matchmaked NF for rewards.... These are here to complete quest and easy vanguard rep Play master or even legend during 2x drop if you want rewards

Speedrunners are the incels of D2. Anyone who tries to sparrow through a strike and dies can expect to wait out their revive timer.

由Aris3nPhoenix77編輯: 8/8/2022 11:49:10 PMPeople also need to stop running past mechanics that require the nightfall to progress, while expecting the people behind them to do everything for them, just because they’re a lazy pos. It’s absurd.

由Athena編輯: 8/8/2022 2:59:24 PMThe only time people should be doing lower tier nf for loot is when trying to get random drops for soft or hard cap. Even then, there are more efficient ways to do that. Any efficient gamer only does lower tier nf for powerfuls, pinnacles, bounties, rep gain, quests, or challenges. As such, we want to get it done as quickly as possible. If you are inefficiently doing lower tier nf for actual nf loot… this is a you problem.

I’m not trying to be jerk or anything like that, but you have to take a look at time allocation for your objective. You have spent more time on here arguing with people who will never change, than you would have if you just got a team together with the same priorities from the start. LFG literally takes less than 2-3 minutes to put a team together. State your objectives and fill it with people who will support that. Figuring randos are gonna do what you want and then spending all the time in here complaining that they don’t is a colossal waste of time.

I do this all the time it’s not my fault if you blueberry’s can’t keep up. I always run eager edge and skate way past everything. And I never run champ mods or help killing them. No reason to, if you guys really care so much just keep up that’s it. -
Or you can stop trying to farm NF weapons on the match made playlist where drop rates are terrible, and get a group together to farm on Legend or higher.

Why should I care about the randoms who just happened to be in the same lobby? I know that they're not going to care about me either and I would never expect that. I started the strike because I needed to do something in them; completions, champion kills etc. I'll always prioritize my objectives and I want to complete them as fast as possible. After all, why would I spend my time guessing what objectives the randoms have. Maybe they just want the completion or they're trying to complete bounties, who knows? That's why I think speedrunning is the best choice for everyone's sake. At least they get extra rewards at the end and can continue their objectives in the next one🤷♀️ Before someone comments about Nightfall weapon farming in matchmade difficulties… No. You shouldn't be farming then in the lower difficulties. There's a really easy solution for this and it's called *optional matchmaking*. I remember back in Festival of the Lost We used to have a gamemode called the Haunted forest. It gave you an option to choose between normal or *Firewalled* Haunted Forest. Firewalled version allowed you to block matchmaking and load in as a solo, duo or trio fireteam without anyone else joining to fill the missing spots. We need optional matchmaking for strikes/nightfalls.

They don't even have to despawn for them not to count towards platinum. For instance if 2 teammates stay in the 1 room and kill champions, but the 3rd person runs into the hall to the next area. The champions won't despawn, however the game won't count the kills. I've experimented and it seems, that if you go around 60 meters past a champions spawn point, they won't despawn however they also won't count towards platinum. Devils lair is another good example, If one teammate runs to the hall before killing the 1st overload champion the game won't count it but the champion won't despawn.
