Every game feels the same and its a burnout. Destiny is apart of it
I honestly think it all stems from the battle pass concept that nearly every single studio has adapted. It's made nearly every game (especially shooters) feel like the same XP grind and sweat fest. Destiny was such a unique game, but since the seasonal model really took off I feel like the passion for playing games has really died off. Take solar 3.0 away from this season and we really don't have much.
TL:DR - Seasonal models have ruined gaming. Its taken unique experiences out of shooters and made them all feel like the same game.
More content = boring.
Ok.
This isn't even a problem with Destiny, just you're moving expectation goal posts.
This is like if you pioneered something in your generation, then the newer generation comes around and builds off the previous. The newer generation isn't going to appreciate it as much because they didn't work as hard for it. You're moving goal posts.
With time everything gets better (more content), but also your expectations increase as well. (No matter what, regardless of the amount of content, you will burnout and everything will become old)
There doesn't exist a sustainable model to cater to addiction.
YouTube and twitch is what has ruined FUN gaming.
I miss the days when developers would just drop a game and either you liked or you didn’t, they would never try to appease to anybody.
Now it’s, we included a competitive yada yada, idk about y’all but playing a video game like I’m competing in a super bowl is not Very fun.
Developers now feel the need to make this or that a competitive environment because the streamers have to do their job. I hate modern gaming, social media dictates way too much how the game plays
I am guessing that you either...
Never experienced destiny's dlc model with the months long content drought.
Or conveniently ignored it so you can make your argument stronger ( which it didn't)
