For the past few weeks I have been getting intermittent Weasel errors. The last 3 days I have not been able to play Destiny because I will always get a Weasel error 1 minute or 2 after logging in. This also only affects Destiny as other games I play remain stable on my internet connection. I realize others have this issue as well. Has there been any Bungie communication on this?
I have:
Used a wired connection
Restarted my router
Enabled UPnP
Verified Game Files
Logged out of DIM and Companion App
Is there anything else I can do? I'm so frustrated I can't find a definite answer and its the last week to farm Palindrome...
Hi. Thanks for your report.
The WEASEL error code is an all-encompassing error message that is usually an indicator that you are experiencing a general networking issue. However, this error can also show up if:
A. You are Cross Saved and tried logging into two different platforms at the same time
B. You were in an activity and a ban was placed on your account
C. Your clan has special characters in its information or you have invites from clans that need to be removed
You may want to review our WEASEL article on http://help.bungie.net for more information about this error code.
Below are suggestions that may help with your issue:
1. Use a wired connection rather than Wi-Fi
2. Quit any program or turn off other devices that are streaming
