But you can go to Walmart and buy both dishes and food.
Then buy food from literally anywhere else, including McDonald's or Burger King, and use the dishes to hold any of the food you bought.
Well yeah
Burger King and McDonalds don’t sell -blam!- dishes.
When I buy my delicious double quarter pounder with ketchup, mayo and onions (a Destiny DLC item) from McD’s(my gaming platform of choice), I am paying to eat (play) a burger (content) from McD’s (platform). I cannot then go to Burger King (some other platform) and ask to eat (play) that same burger (content) without first purchasing whatever dogshit burgers Burger King sells idk I haven’t eaten there in years (the same content on a different platform)
What?
My analogy here is simple. The burger represents dlcs. McDonalds and burger king represent different platforms.
While you can buy a burger (dlc) at McDonald’s (let’s say on Xbox), you can’t go to Burger King (PlayStation) and expect to get a burger (dlc) for free.
