Yea, matchmaking sucks and it needed a tweak like 6 months ago. The reason the match making is so bad is cause Bungie admitted in a couple TWABs about 6 months ago that matchmaking doesn't care about stats, true skill, people on a team, flawlesses and etc. All it cares about is if you have a somewhat decent connection to each other. This was reflected when DMG apologized on Twitter saying by removing SBMM they were listening to the minority instead of the majority and they are sorry for doing that. Not sure why DMG tweeted they are sorry for removing SBMM and then they just don't have plans of adding it back. That's why I play Survival so much. It has Skill Based Matchmaking and puts me against players like me. It is awesome!

Bungie has never cared for PVP. It shows in every game they have made. They rather fix stuff that was never broken instead of dealing with with PvP side of their game. They have no idea what they are doing in regards to PvP. Matchmaking was a great idea, they executed very poorly. They don't care about PvP players, and they never will. Been complaining about it periodically due to getting absolute trash teammates who got their heads so far up their rears that they just stand there and get farmed while I'm moving around to get kills and not die. My win ratio is utter shite because of my 1.0 kd rear being paired with morons who have KD ranging from .3 to .8 against 1.5+ KD as enemies. And them basing it off KD isn't going to help them in the slightest. They need to outright remove PvP for a season to get that on track. Many people are leaving because Bungie can't get their heads out of their rears for PvP. Not worth worth grind for anything in PvP because of how broken it is.

No. You want SBMM. It’s failed before and will fail again. Teleporting players is worse than the current t matchmaking

It’s true and players are actually turning their backs on the game because of this. I know decent PvP players who’ve gone Flawless etc. and who say that this game is unplayable for them and they can’t be asked anymore. I don’t know what Bungie’s angle is.

It's broken and they don't care. I've been in solo Q and matched up with players that are below my skill level against players way better. Teammates kd is 0.33 (my kd is 1.5) and I have to play so hard just to try and win. Only once every 5 or so games do I get good teammates or the other team is just suffering like I did lol. Broken match making. Really it's draining and I'm pretty much at the point of quitting again (why did I even come back to this). Don't even feel like it's worth seeing the next season if the only end game stuff is raids and dungeons.

It’s a terrible experience, and I feel forced into it. There are many rewards and activities that force us to participate in their PVP experience, including exotics quests and seasonal activities, and it’s almost a requirement if you want to level up in a timely manner. (I finally hit max level in the last week of the season … again.) I don’t mind grinding for content and progress, but this is excessive, and I refuse to again be spanked all over a map by players who are clearly WAY out of my league and who show anything but good sportsmanship in their “victory,” just so I can level up and finally participate in PVE activities that require a higher power level. My son plays PVP games almost exclusively, and he refuses to play Destiny any longer because of how broken Bungie’s matchmaking is. In many other games, I’ve enjoyed the PVP experience and had a lot of fun, but it’s frustrating to the extreme in Destiny. I think the key ingredient missing from Bungie’s recipe for PVP is “fun.” It is a [i]game[/i], after all. The last purchase I made (30th anniversary plus seasons, etc) may be my last. All but one of my online friends have moved away from Destiny. These are serious die-hard Destiny fans, and I made my last purchase -only- to play with them. They are too tired of the grind and hate the PVP experience so much that they just said, “enough.” I’m at the same point.

I’ve just played a guy who never missed headshots, even when he’s underneath me and sliding around corners. It was the same with his hc. He just would not miss and ended up with 40+ kills every game, only time he died was when he was outnumbered. It was like all he had to do was shoot and it was a headshot.. I’ve played a lot of pvp and that’s the first time I have ever seen such consistent headshots with a slug shotgun, he was on PlayStation. Definitely cheating somehow and reporting him done nothing.. bungie makes me annoyed that reporting i useless and you just have to get cheated on 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

Bungie: We hear you and will take it under advisement. In the meantime, have you considered watching reruns of The Dating Game, The Bachelor or The Bachelorette?

Or people could just speak in chat . During a lot of fights and in solo trials getting on coms changes the entire game . Information is power and u deprive urself playing solo unless u are aware of how everything works .

you cant use kd alone its easy to exploit and it says not much about how skilled a player is. It depends on playstyle and if they play to win or for stats.
