Pls get rid of it, waste of energy and/or slot, makes no sense I can throw a smoke bomb or mini hammer further than a grenade.

Honestly I'd prefer not, but mainly because I never use it and I have many years of muscle memory that it would destroy.

I've always avoided Fastball like the plauge. I had it on a few gloves in D1. I would simply try to dump a solar grenade on a Dreg's head. Instead, the grenade would fly into orbit/the next zip code, and the Dreg would just stare at me like I was a moron, then stab me in the eyeball. I would hate if that was on all the time.

Here’s an idea: stop using it. Get used to how grenades are normally. After you do that, you won’t need fastball. Then you’ll clear up some mod slots.

Honestly I don't really like what they did to traction, I liked when it was a mod/"option" rather than just always being a thing. Makes you chose whether or not you think you need it. I don't ever feel the need for fastball, to me it's more of a convenience thing, but then to others some may feel like they need it. Just depends on how you play and what you think about it ig.

由BetweenMyself編輯: 5/22/2022 8:36:01 PMTraction was changed to a control menu option because as a mod it created a clear imbalance between M&K players and those who use controller. Controller players, even at the highest sensitivity settings, were unable to turn with the same speed as M&K players meaning that once the hidden Mobility bonus was removed those on M&K had a free mod slot to play with while controller players had to choose whether they would forego a tighter turn radius to free up a mod slot. This became a more pressing issue when the decision was made to allow for crossplay as M&K and controller players would now be interacting with each other directly on a more regular basis, making the disparity more readily apparent. Fastball does not create the same inherent imbalance between control types as neither input method can replicate the effect of the mod without having it equipped, thus freeing up the mod slot used for a single control type. Neither does the removal of the Fastball mod address a clear Accessibility issue in the fashion of the introduction of the rapid-fire mod to help those with repetitive stress injuries. As the removal of Fastball would not fix any obvious balance or accessibility issues, I don’t imagine the devs will be changing it to a menu option or simply boosting base grenade throw trajectories to match Fastball functionality, opting instead to simply leave it as it currently stands.
