Slower loading but good skill based matchmaking

Tier based matchmaking (Similar to comp, CSGO, OW)

Hey all,
I wanted to through a poll to you PvP people to ask what you opinion was / is on matchmaking in standard crucible (control).
Of course other ideas are also welcome, post em in the comments! :)
SBMM has always been a failure in destiny for a variety of reasons:
1- p2p connections + smaller players pools/matchmaking tiers = -blam!- connections (seriously top players end up in multi continental lobbies after 5+ minute waits)
2- bungies “skill” metric is laughable and on the rare occasion that you get good connections in SBMM, the match often isn’t fairly balanced anyway.
3- The constantly atrocious sandbox makes taking the game remotely seriously either a full commitment to being a degenerate, or just not fun.
MY PROPOSAL:
-keep CBMM
-attempt to improve lobby balancing (how the 12 connection matched players are distributed in to teams should NOT create situations where the best player has to carry the 5 worst who are getting farmed because every opposing player is better than them)
-change quickplay to a random rotator of zone control, rift and 6v6 salvage because true objective modes take the emphasis on a players ability to slay, and are more approachable and enjoyable for new/less talented players. (Sweet rift backflip dunks make dropping a 0.3 feel better)
-implement VERY VERY loose SBMM to keep the newest players out of lobbies with actual tourney caliber players, for a short period of time. Or maybe; population permitting let new players have a form of “kiddie pool” matchmaking that gradually shifts to full CBMM as they learn the ropes
