Your cherry-picking what you want to see, but you're not realizing his last life is tied to this one now and we don't get the chance to be a friend to him due to him wanting reassignment. This was LITERALLY done for the drama of it all and NOT based on the characters we are to Crow. Or to put it more simply? What happens when he tries to kill Ikora? Or Zavala? Or simply goes on a hunter rampage in the last city? Maybe Savathun will use her magic to assist him in these missions. The simple fact of the matter is... Crow is gone now. He chose a path where he actually needs good friends around him and now he is being reassigned to Saladin and the Cabal. I am only thankful for that Iron Lord being around to assist and teach him that the light he has now is stronger than Uldren who murdered his own people and forced a trial by fire which would -blam!- with ANYONE who had to order their corsairs to their deaths each week.
