I Finally Beat Dark Souls 1

So, after several tries of navigating through the Tomb of Giants, I gave up and went straight back to Anor Londo to hike up the hill towards the Archives. The crystal hollows and mages were annoying, but not as much as those 2 full-armored boars. Went up to Seath’s room and wasted a few crossbow bolts and fire bombs before I died instantly and realized that this was a forced failure. It took a while to navigate through the Archives, but I eventually found the way where I needed to go thanks to Master Logan. Took me a while to figure out that I needed to walk on the platforms that the crystal flakes were landing and it took even longer to get to the boss room. Those clams and gold golems are a real headache. Then I went onto Seath himself, who has one of my favorite designs. My little brother liked it too. I died the first time, but once I realized that I actually had to find and destroy the crystal myself, it was pretty easy. Along the way, I found out that I had what I needed to get through the Tomb all along. The lamp you get from the Necromancers in the Catacombs. Even then, I still had a lot of trouble fighting those dog-like skeletons, but I still managed to get to the next bonfire and find my way to Nito. The boss fight was difficult at first because of those darn skeletons and Nito’s spike attacks. He even glitched into a place I couldn’t reach, making the fight literally impossible. But, I figured out that staying right underneath him will allow you to avoid almost every attack and it would get him to kill his own minions. The 4 Kings boss fight was pretty neat. Not much to say about the area other than the annoying ghosts and Abyssal Knights, but the boss fight itself was very cool, specifically the environment, despite it being a literal black void. Beat them on my second try. Then came the Bed of Chaos. Getting there was long, but the bosses themselves weren’t that tough. Found out that Ceaseless Discharge has a cheap way to be defeated, the Fire Demon was just the 3rd version of the first boss and the Lava Centipede glitched into the ceiling and died. The Bed of Chaos itself was a different story. Ironic since it literally only takes 3 hits to kill. Getting there takes me a minute and a half, but it takes me 10 seconds to be pushed into the pit and die instantly. Took me the longest out of the 4 Lords, but I eventually managed to beat it. Finally, Lord Gwyn. It’s kinda annoying that you have to go through those knights every time, but I liked the boss fight itself. It had good music and Gwyn had a neat design and set of attacks. It was very difficult because of how aggressive he is, but then, I learned his one weakness. A technique that I’ve barely used my entire play through. Parrying. So, I used the crap out of that to beat the Lord of Cinder, link the First Flame and beat the game. Then it transported me to NG+, which I probably won’t try. Don’t get me wrong, I really liked this game and I can’t wait to see more of the franchise, but I can never get around to completing a game twice. I’ll probably make a review later on, though.
