We were 100% right
AHAHAHAHAHAH
After the last twab i cant help but feel so freaking vindicated. Legions of people were on here screaming how bad sunsetting was, how bad vaulting was going to be, and bungie was going to jsut rehash it and resell it to us.
We were told we were toxic, that we were wrong, we were not helping the community, that we were being nay sayers and doom and gloom. But look here, after the latest Twab we were 100% right. Bungie could have just said oh well those guns we are reissueing? The ones that are in your vault will also go up in level, but nope, literally just making us farm out the exact same gear.
Bungie has become a complete joke, with Luke smith at the helm i cant wait for this ship to crash.
Anyone and everyone who ever said this would not happen, at this point as no credible voice in the community for this game.
I would say i hate to tell you I was right, but i actually love to say it, we were 100% right.

I viewed the game with the lowest expectations, but after umbral recaster reuse recycle it just makes me laugh and lose even more hope. Bungie will forever be clueless and oblivious to their community till the bitter end.

Weird flex but OK... Looking at it objectively, they aren't charging for anything mentioned in the TWAB. Not saying anything about the current situation, which is dire, but just that whole 'rehashing, reselling' angle doesn't really work when those pieces of gear aren't part of any transaction. They are just being reissued because there is currently no point in any player, new or old, free or paid, visiting those locations. Anyway, enjoy your victory!

You were right! Also they remove content we paid for. They said the game was too big, but this game is tiny compared to other MMO's. ESO anyone?! What they really mean is they can't maintain the game, without the other studios who help build it. Just pull the plug guardians.

6 回覆I don't like the fact that I paid for the base game, which had Titan and IO. I paid for the DLC's containing Mars and Mercury. I paid for things, now through no fault of my own I can no longer use or access the things I paid for. The first year's DLC is gone, despite me paying money for it. All I have are fixed roll weapons and armor that can only go to 1060. They say that they will bring it back out of the Destiny Content Vault at some point, but how? If you add in even more new destinations and bring back more D1 locations and content, how are you going to squeeze in old D2 content as well? Basically the system doesn't work. But on the topic of sunsetting. Why do I have armor being sunset at day 1 of year 4, but then I get the SAME ARMOR to drop day 1 of year 4. What was the point? Bungie's excuse was to rotate gear, to get us to use new weapons and new loadouts (which make sense for weapons) but the armor . . . Then have have the same armor, but worse stats that what I currently have but can't infuse. The only reason to do Pit right now is to get the masterwork armor to immediately dismantle it. TWAB says their answer is to . . . get rid of the masterwork armor reward. Sure, you still get armor, except no class items (pro: easier farm for better rolls on armor. con: how do you get the dreambane class item that is >1060?) and the chance at 4 weapons that nobody used. I doubt the new perks would encourage anyone to really play for those weapons. Though I can see people trying to get that armor for Nightmare Hunts . . . if it wasn't for the fact that a lot of armor, including raid armor, allows for the NH mods. Dreaming City content is even worse, so I really see no one doing that. If it wasn't for Wrathborn Hunts, no one would go to Dreaming City. Only one landing/load spot, and for most content on DC, you have to land, then sparrow over (ascendant challenge, mission, well, etc).

7 回覆I mean, rehashing old weapons isn't something I'm against provided they have a new perk pool. No different than getting a different roll that's still viable.

7 回覆This is unlikely to happen past the first set, which is why bungie is staying the course with sunsetting. Once a year’s worth of new gear has come out, they will have an easily rotating pool of loot, with a few outliers of the past added by popular demand or to mix things up. It’s just a necessary pain associated with the birth of an idea. I do wish bungie would reconsider sunsetting, but to do so now would disenfranchise players who already deleted currently irreplaceable gear. There is nothing for it, sunsetting will drive onward.

138 回覆Bad news. None of that TWAB is Bungie backing down on sunsetting or DCV. That’s them correcting an oversight where they were still charging new players for the Forsaken and Shadowkeep expansions, but they weren’t dropping any relevant loot. But if you think that this is a prelude to Bungie changing their minds about the DCV or sunsetting? You are in fir a really rude awakening. Not only are they not backing down, they aren’t even listening at this point.

Being vindicated or right is irrelevant in this situation. It doesn't change Bungie's goal or their method of doing things. Seems to me you take pleasure in feeling superior to others, whether you are or not. All of which has nothing to do with this videogame. Enjoy your hollow "victory" I guess.

5 回覆I was sick of needing to use mountaintop and recluce or risk being inferior in every. Single. Activity. ... The game is fresher for me...we have a reason to go back to shattered throne which is so cool... They are adding more weapons to the pool with new perk pools... Y'all are just mad because it's not executed flawlessly but this is all good stuff. This is most likely on top of the actual seasonal content/weapons/etc. They're not taking anything here... just seems like a small tweak to improve things in moon and Dreaming City marginally....and the forums are on 🔥 with complaints...
