Why the genuine -blam!- would you put sun settignin the game???
Like you literally made previous seasons weapons unusualable, just because you want to force people into getting and using your stupid new weapons.
I have a materworked "no turning back" that I can no longer use, I can take it into any light level pvp, or even higher level strikes.
I have close to 6,000 crucible kills on that bow, and you go and make it useless!?!?!?!?
STOP SUNSETTING, WE DONT LIKE IT, ITS A WASTE OF TIME, AND ALL YOUR GOING TO DO IS ALIENATE MORE AND MORE OF YOUR FANBASE!!
Please bungie take your head oucha butt and remove sun setting all together.
There is no need for it, if people don't want to use the new weapons and you try to force them, they won't give in.... they just leave and go play another game.
obviously bungie doesn't give a shit about people who have played since d2 first came out. They have changed so many thing without proper compensation for the time and effort put into resources and equipment that is now completely useless.
Also for those of you who would like to say "there's other bows out there just as good" no... no there isn't. They have not released a single legendary bow with the same accuracy as the "no turning back"
So im screwed if they keep sun setting in, and i think my other gaurdians are going to be pissed when they're weapons are not going to be useful next season.
TAKE SUN SETTING OUT!!!!

I saw a post that made a good point. We are now losing more than we are gaining every season in terms of loot. It really is depressing

I quit two months back (2500+ hours). I just love coming back to these forums to get affirmation. I legit get excited to finally watch all the reasons I quit come to life.

由High Noon at Jötunn Saloon編輯: 1/14/2021 10:37:56 PMThe changes for next season are almost insulting lol...make sure you regrind for those dreaming city and moon weapons we already took from you and will once again take away in a few seasons!

由More Power編輯: 1/14/2021 7:50:06 PMSunsetting hurts family, friends and clan members who don't (or can't) grind season after season. My daughter wasn't able to play for most of the past year. Recently, she was reluctant to begin again because she was so far behind. Now, add sunsetting, which means 99% of her legendary collection was worthless. That hit her hard, because of her limited time (mods?, what are mods?). Luckily, she and I did the Xenophage quest between Christmas and New Year's (it's a 1050 quest). Without that, the seasonal climb would have been a bit too much. Although, she still doesn't have ANY heavy ammo mods... or any other ammo mods - none. Try doing the harder missions with crap guns and no ammo...

Crutch much? Compensation? For playing a GAME!! Dude, you need to get your head right!! Of all the things to cry about, a bow you have 6k kills on!! Lol!! Dismantled plenty of better weapons with way more kills on them!! Lots of other issues that should be fixed before reversing sunsetting!! Compensation, that's great!! Lmfao!!

Come on now, Bungie thought it was a good thing, just like how they were proud to make the two primary system that worked out so well for the base game.

Stop saying we. Some of us prefer sunsetting to the alternative, which is creating a brand new game every few years. Sunsetting has literally always been a thing in these kinds of games, I don't understand why people are so confused about it.

Nah you’re right, sunsetting sucks. It just gives players a reason to play the game, makes new loot actually interesting, adds some value to new content. Let’s old overpowered gear get vaulted without nerfing it into permanent obsolescence.... I agree it wasn’t done as well as it really needed to be to not flop but honestly it did accomplish what it needed to. Players played for new gear. Something I never understand is why people demanded fists banging against their phones for random rolls to return all of year 1 only for them to have that not be a part of their gameplay loop? Hunting is fun and while I’ll miss old stuff that feeling of getting that roll I’d been chasing kept me playing a game otherwise completely dead to me. Pvp blows, trials isn’t worth a damn, the raid is boringly easy like to the point where the final boss gets farm killed for rolls to kill him even easier, grandmasters offer the challenge some seek but the loots still not worth it. Dungeons are pointless, the in game story isn’t worth replaying, strikes offer nothing worthwhile. There is literally zero content worth playing over and over again on its own merits once loot isn’t a part of the conversation. Just my thoughts on it tho, the chase is the fun in my opinion and I don’t think the game would be better off without sunsetting.

Ignoring the fact that we've all consumed the content we paid for......and the license stuff and the legal stuff. How else do you propose making new loot worth while hmmm? "Make it more powerful" ? How do you keep that power in check? How do you make it so you aren't constantly building content around the same weapons? Infusion renders new loot worthless. Why go for new gear when what you have does the job? Recluse and Mountaintop all over again to name 2. Onto the issue of re issues.....now that's the slap in the face here. They should refresh the infusion cap and not force you into a re grind. That's where the BS is. Whether artificial or not. The grind has to be maintained and there needs to be certain limitations here and there. If ya'll wanna bust a nut over something about sunsetting. It's the fact our gear doesn't last at least a year, the fact that having to re grind old weapons just to use them again is dumb. Sunsetting as I keep saying works. But Bungie haven't got a clue when it comes to using it within their game. It's one part of the game that's attached to the others. Which I'd need to make a post of my own to explain a little.

I think a partial solution would be to introduce a new item that allows you to re-raise the light level cap on specific weapons/armor. Then restrict every character to have 10-15 a piece, that also give players more reason to play 0ther classes.

My No Turning Back has 48,461 kills. I feel your pain.
