Long-time Destiny player here, started my Journey during the Dawning of Year 3 of Destiny 1 on Xbox. Participated in beta for Destiny 2 on Xbox, jumped to PC/Battle Net during a free weekend and just kept going. I've been in and out of clans, communities and friend groups over the years. Some were great, others...not so much. That brings me here. I'm frustrated, very frustrated. So to give some background on myself, I'm a strictly PvE player. I prioritize endgame content such as raids, nightfalls, dungeons, exotic quests etc. I fancy myself a Sherpa, and am very proud of my abilities to help people through challenging content. I may not be the best player out there, but at the end of the day I enjoy being able to help someone, anyone. There was a time when Destiny players couldn't get help learning new content...the community wouldn't teach new players anything. I don't want to let any players experience that here in Destiny 2. That being said, I typically get hands-on in clans shortly after joining. I jump right in and offer to help. I scope out the raid situation and try to get started leading raids almost the first few days I'm there. I am proactive in spending time in Discord voice chat, seeing if people need help in their planned activities, etc. I don't wait for the clan to meet me. I walk in and introduce myself to the clan. Now, some people take offense to a proactive attitude. Some people view it as being a brag, or trying to 'flex'. I'm not interested in that. I'm not here to show off, to get attention. My sole purpose is to help and guide. People like me really do exist. All I want is to find a place where my services and skills are useful to a clan, that's all. I don't want people upset because I take initiative and schedule/lead/teach raids or spend 90% of my time online in voice chat...that's not what I'm here for. So my last attempt at a clan unfortunately has come to a close, hence why I am seeking another. I want to find a real, good PC community. Size of the clan doesn't matter to me. It can be a brand new clan for all I care. I just want to be helpful, useful and part of a Destiny family again.
