So the bright dust change is to screw us ? Again ? I mean.... Think about it. We're gain more bright dust with the Season pass ( that's good) but it's " fixed " rewards, when you are at level 100 you can't get extra bright dust from the pass. And the week bounties are going to give us only 100 instead of 200 ? This is NOT an improvement. Adding more bright dust to the Season pass which is a fixed reward and reduce bright from bounties which is a repeatable rewards over weeks does the exact opposition of what you said. It will reduce the bright dust for everyone, pushing us to use real money at Eververse. This is wrong. Plus the prices are still too high ( hello legendary ghost Projection, multiplayer exotic emote and finishers ) and with this change we're gonna be able to buy less than before. This is not player-friendly Bungie. Yes, i'm mad about this change and i'm really hope everyone will see the problem with this change.

At a minimum, the advertising on this was pretty poor and left a sour taste. Let's break this down: - In Season of Arrivals, the Season Pass provides 2,700 Bright Dust. - In Season of the Hunt, the Season Pass provides 10,500 Bright Dust. - This is 7,800 more Bright Dust. - In Season of the Hunt, Weekly Bounties will provide 100 Bright Dust, 100 less than the current season. With all of that said, the new season will provide more Bright Dust until 78 Weekly Bounties are turned in, after that point, you will earn less Bright Dust overall. It is also worth noting that Season of the Hunt is likely only 9 weeks long, this is hinted on the Roadmap where "Uncover Europa's Secrets" is listed from 11/10-1/12. If you do 100% of the weekly bounties for Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit, this means there are a total of 54 Weekly Bounties per character, or 162 if you do all bounties on all characters, which is a loss in overall Bright Dust (Going from 35,100 to 26,700) I don't know about you, but for me, this is going to be an overall positive as I typically skip Crucible and Gambit bounties, however, it was hyped up as being solely positive instead of looking at overall consequences for those who have a ritual of doing the bounties weekly. I suspect this is paving the way to an account based system in Season 13 that provides Bright Dust on par with the new system, maybe 600 Bright Dust per week for Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit for completing objectives that week, but we'll have to wait and see.

What do you think of Beyond Light so far?. . . I'm not sure yet. They took out a lot of things. And now they are also changing a lot of things. The only thing that really stuck out with me that's new is "Dynamic Weather." I guess that's what everybody "REALLY" wants, right?. . . I mean they really wanna emphasize it into the game that even your new Supers are like Dynamic Weather! Let me show you . . . Everytime you use your STASIS ability, you make an OLAF! You cast a STASIS rift, you make an OLAF! You do a STASIS shadestep, you make an OLAF! You throw a STASIS Shuriken, you make an OLAF! You do a STASIS Titan missile melee, you make an OLAF! You throw STASIS grenades, you make an OLAF! You use your STASIS Supers, you make an OLAF! You use any STASIS Subclass abilities or supers, you make an OLAF! Darkness is OLAF! See, that's Dynamic Weather for you! It's gonna be epic, like Meta, like OP! We will sunset your guns. Who needs guns when you have "Dynamic Weather!" Bungie Logic!

The entire economy is a mess. Part of me wants to think they don't know what they are doing, but that would just be me trying to fool myself. Bungie knows what they are doing and all of what is taking place with the BD, shards, and whatever is all planned out. There are no "mistakes" in the actions they are taking. The game is now being designed to show numbers and not much of anything else. Anyone can see the drastic changes that took place the day masterwork cores were changed to enhancement cores. The game has only gotten worse with grid time over time and this company keeps looking and spending too much time looking for ways to extend that grind time instead of creating a quality type of game. This is the worst I have ever seen this company try so hard to focus on what doesn't work for the game versus what actually works for the game, and it really bad.

I know you are all upset. Why don't we play for a little bit. Let's play describe the game Destiny using their guns. Destiny 1: is like a Gjallarhorn - Because elegant and loved by all. Destiny 2: is like a Whisper of the Worm - Because reskins?. . . Yeah, it's the beginning of the copy/paste era. Destiny 2.2 Beyond Light: is like The Cut and Run - Because . . . well, I think that says it all. It's self explanatory. But the Fanbois will not get this and will get triggered. Bungie Logic!

Agreed. Im not buying the "it is an improvement for the majority" claim. If it is then the change to bounties is unnecessary because it negatively impacts a minority without benefiting anybody. If they kept the bounties the same the trade off is that a minority of people get a few extra cosmetics for the time they put in when negatively impacts nobody. There are a few options they could of gone with that would't decrease the gains of anybody while still accomplishing the same goal. The first is the obvious, just keep the changes AND the bounty reward amount. Secondly, if they wanted it to be more account based for players with a single character then they could do that while still keeping the same values from the current season. Instead of running the bouties for each character each week, have 600 as an additional reward for completing those playlists milestones on your first character. If they did that I may actually make it a point to play gambit each week because 3 matches is far more bearable than 9. Decreasing the value of these bounties makes them less worth even bothering with. We still have daily bounties that reward 10 dust but nobody takes them seriously as a source of dust. This change pushes the weekly bounties more toward the wayside with the dailies. The past month or so the weeklies were the only real thing to do that would benefit people in the future. I know personally after reaching the dust cap on the pass, i probably wont be running those activities. If im max power and the dust reward is minimal then why would i participate? For the fun of it? Activities that you play just for fun have been few and far between for me

Pardon me while I laugh hysterically at those who tried to say you could obtain almost as much (some said more) bright dust than when you could complete EV quests and dismantle EV items into bright dust... What will they argue now? Bliss feels good, right?

Exactly. They said they wanted to increase the dust the average player can earn. Season pass dust? Yes. Go for it. But this had nothing to do with limiting dust for the not so average players. Why did this come at our expense?? It seems very anti consumer and its very misleading and upsetting for players who actually want to take the time to grind. Its not really an improvement to add dust to the pass, when you take two steps backwards at the same time and limit reoccurring dust rewards. ALL while expecting us to not notice the dramatic decrease.

I have been doing bright dust all weeks with all three, currently sitting on 88k bright dust and decide to do this? Like really? There's actual people who literally spend hours n hours in their game and they decide to cut a very essential currency in half ?? What's next spend more time to complete the so called challenges instead of bounties and get less dust? Instead of giving more reason for someone to grind all three characters you take away the opposite....
-
Only reason there doing this is because A. Gamespass includes expansions/no season pass which is why they lowered to gather bright dust and also for f2p player's B. Season pass owners will get the extra bright dust and will benefit from it. Gamepass is a safe bet for me because I know Bungie will not deliver on content. And I refuse to spend money on this game.

Realistically this is probably a benefit to most players. Let's be honest, most people don't do every weekly bounty on every character, every week.. I'm sure some do, and this will be a negative for them.
