I am happy with almost every balance change from the TWAB, except the removal of 150RPM handcannons. I personally prefer 140s and used to use them over 150s despite their ttk being higher. I don't see how you could buff autos to have a .8 TTK, but not leave a HC archetype that can do the same.
People wanted more range and better perks on 140s over 150s... not the removal of 150s. Even with these changes, 600 autos are still likely to dominate over 140s in crucible.
Still, I'm very satisfied with this last TWAB. Overall, I like the direction you're moving toward.

THe removal of the 150 hand cannon imo is the biggest face palm moment bungie has had in a while.l It shows just how far outta touch this developer is with their playerbase. 150 is one of the most popular and enjoyed arc types of hand cannons. Out of the 150 and 140s, it was the 140 that was the odd duck out that needed to be turned into 150s, not the other way around. Its a very VERY poor move on their part and honestly is just another nail in the coffin that is drving me away. RIP Rose.

To be fair I never understood why they made 140s and 150s. They are practically the same. Making them one or the other really doesn't matter.

Man havent played in a fat minute. But 150s out of the game? Hell yeahhh. Finally. They made 140s obsolete. Literally same amount to kill someone but did it better.

140s and 150s are so similar, but obviously 150s have that slight edge. I don’t see how they could balance the two without having 150s nerfed to the ground which wouldn’t be what the community wants. I would much rather see the two be condensed into one type.

I disagree, 140 and 150 where basically the same thing except for fire rate making all 140 essentially useless. I like the change and I’m excited to see what these sandbox changes bring

Not really , 600 and 140 will have a similar ttk .80 and .87 Hand canons got a range buff and u can peak shoot with them and you need to hit less shots. Lets be real, nobody hits 9 crits with a 600 right away. At least 2 shots will be body, making the actual ttk .9 or 1.0 ... So hand canons are king actually.

The thing I like about this is it could make all former 150s and current 140s more balanced to each other. There are surely going to be standouts. Spare and Dire with their higher aim assist will still give them an edge, but they won’t be so far ahead of the rest that personal preference can make more of a impact. But now Bungie can selectively make some HCs, like exotics and even future pinnacle HCs even more special by putting them in the 150 archetype without giving them special perks that risk making them too OP on their own.

Only having 120, 140 and 180 makes it easier to balance properly. 150s consistently outclassed the other archetypes so this was their only viable course of action. Otherwise they would've have just nerfed them into oblivion.

Honestly have no issues with the changes. It was redundant having two entire classes of weapons that close together in terms of fire rate. I can totally understand the shift. If all went to 150, we would basically have a never ending meta for hand cannons as no one would logically use anything other than those.
-
Not saying the merger shouldn’t have been the other way around - but 150s did give hunters an inherent buff to dodge cooldown. No other class got a buff to their class ability just by selecting a primary weapon that also had an optimal .8 ttk without empowering effects or kill clip or whatever. I think a better approach would have been to make adaptives 150s and drop the access to lightweight buffs to hunter mobility & class ability specifically. This would at least have put warlocks, hunters, and titans more on par with each other. And kept 150s competitive.

Lmao yall crying about 150s getting deleted when you get 2-4 handcannon kills and 10+ shotgun/sniper kills a game...

I dont normally side with bungie on things. But I do understand 150s being brought down to 140s to a point as in it was the simplest solution to do with the two diffrent archetypes. But with that said I feel they should of just moved the 140s up to 150 rof not brought them down.

It's a shame they couldn't agree on another way to make 140's more competitive against the 150's. The forum was full of suggestions but they went with the easy approach.

I’m just gonna wait and see how it plays out in PvP because I do like 150s but also 140s. But 150s are so main stream and i don’t know.
