No, absolutely no. This game is a release from the real world. My partner and clan owner has severe PTSD and can not play games like Call of Duty because of the realism. You have a noble idea but there are other ways to support the troops.

Sounds to me like your partner shouldn't even be playing shooters if his PTSD is that bad. I'm a combat marine and I personally find Cod and other military base games incredibly unrealistic except maybe the ambience. Even with PTSD most vets that I know Still Rock their Marine Corps t-shirts and stickers on their cars so I don't see how having a military themed emblem would be any different

well then Semper Fi devil dog! Just remember that MP is not an 03. while every Marine is a Rifleman, there is a difference between those who choose to close with and destroy and those who choose a support role. perhaps all of those old salts that I always see wearing Marine Corps emblems and the like were all grunts

Well hell we served at the same time. I was in from 90 - 2000. I'm really weird about PTSD because I really don't have a lot of sympathy for 95% of the claimants. It's not that they did not experience things that were traumatic, just that most of them didn't or make a bigger deal out of a smaller event. One of my friends is trying to claim PTSD because of boot camp for crying out loud! He's a drummer in the National Guard band... Go figure. I personally sport a scar across my left cheek from an AK rifle butt while clearing a house. If that doesn't say I was close with the Enemy then I don't know what does. Being inside the wire and leaving the wire to try to find the bad guys is a totally different level of fear and adrenaline. My ex-wife demanded that I get tested for PTSD because of my tack black attitude about everything but all they wanted to do with the VA was pump my belly full of drugs and I don't play that stuff. I'm also not one to look for handouts like many of these supposed PTSD claimants. I'm really not trying to take anything away from what people think is traumatic, I suppose I just Define trauma a little more acutely

I know what you mean, there are many who will take advantage of anything and everything they can. I have a friend here who is only 31 years old. He was a scout sniper with 5 deployments. I will not describe the horrors of his duties but he is having a very hard time dealing with his confirmed kills. It does not make him weak, it just makes him human. We can not let those who scam the system take away from those who need the system. Stay strong brother and lend a shoulder and ear when it is needed.

Hello, you kind of have to read the whole post and not pull out what you want. The post is about gear and emblems. I just explained how this affects those who have served in combat with PTSD but you only cared about what you want.
