It would be pretty cool to show your pride in our military, either as a service member, veteran, or even as a civilian who supports our military and pays our paycheck, buys our uniforms and equipment.
Pride in your country's military is a universally amicable notion, without any pretense of bigotry or hatred. In fact, most people love the military because they love freedom and they love the peace provided by men and women who choose to be real life "guardians".
It would be awesome to have other countries than the U.S. military as well, many vets in my circle play destiny. It would be cool to identify eachother, in the U.S. Air Force I served with british, australian, japanese, korean, and israeli soldiers sailors marines and airmen, as well as all of our branches.
If we see civilians rocking one of the badges it's like automatic respect and appreciation for their support. It is already a great and respectful culture, please translate that into the game.
Mostly emblems, but I would say even sell the armor shaders and ornaments themed after camo and style of the different militaries, and use the money to help fund ptsd research or something worthwhile.
Whatchu all thank?
P.S. I feel like it is a bit of a security risk to only allow military members to obtain the badge, because then you'd have an easy list of a specific group of people, either for good or bad intentions, so making this stuff available to all would alleviate that concern (can't see the trees if you hide them in a forest)

I also would like to remind all the current members of all the different services, you'd probably want to consult with your command before displaying anything regarding your service in any virtual capacity, consult your regs if you have them, if you have no written or verbal guidance, refer to you CoC. This shit can get serious in a heartbeat and we all need to stay safe.
I see alot of people commenting without reading..
And then they expect to be taken seriously.
Thanks to all the bigots for this classic
"We don't understand this culture, so let's talk shit about it"
I hope you get the help you need.

Get in line mate, I've already proposed a Queen of Hearts ornament for the Ace of Spades, in which the proceeds go to a breast cancer research foundation. Just turn the spade into a heart and replace the white color with pink, and boom.

Only would an American think this is a good idea. Nobody but Americans think that war/combat prowess is something to be proud of. If you’re wondering why this doesn’t gain more traction, it’s because this isn’t normal elsewhere.
In fact, most people love the military because they love freedom and they love the peace provided by men and women who choose to be real life “guardians”.
Good god military people are so far up their own asses that they can honestly unironically say this shit, lmao.

Idk about you but I would not like any member or veteran to be a target of abuse, some people will always hate the service and some people will have bad intentions towards service members and veterans. I totally get what you are saying but I have to disagree, a ton of immature and toxic people exist even on a video game, its not worth the time having to face them just because they are miserable human beings. Its best to leave the game be what it is and call it a day, I feel call of duty makes more sense to show it off since its more military themed but destiny is a fantasy game, its best to leave it at that.

I personally love the idea I'm just not a big fan of fundraisers because most of the proceeds tend to go to those conducting the fundraiser event under the guise of operating and management cost. as a combat Marine myself, I'm really not sure how they would be able to determine if one is actually a veteran short of requesting an email of their DD-214 or military ID. If they can figure that out I would love to see a bunch of fellow Devil Dogs sporting their scarlet and gold EGA s!

Seeing as bungie has done other emblems for other causes like BLM Pride and disaster relief I could see them doing this for vets across the world

Yeah no. Destiny is set in the far future when war was abolished completely. The only war we are in is with the darkness... And guess what? We have themed armour for that. Our normal armour is themed for specific things.

I actually think this is a really lovely idea. I'd happily pay for bits if it's in support of those serving or have served. I do alot of stuff for help for heroes (UK) and for my favourite game to support this would be amazing! I hope bungie see the good in this and thank you x

No, absolutely no. This game is a release from the real world. My partner and clan owner has severe PTSD and can not play games like Call of Duty because of the realism. You have a noble idea but there are other ways to support the troops.

由hypershadow51編輯: 10/1/2020 3:21:10 PMYes I would, I think that would be awesome. There was an Iron Banner shader back in year one called “Iron Battalion” which can kind of give your gear a US Army vibe, but that’s just shaders. Bungie won’t do anything in game to honor vets, ever, but honestly I never really expected them to considering Bungie’s location and the way Bungie embraced and spread certain political propaganda across their platforms this year.

Yes Absoulutely! Also add emblems and gear for vegetarians and crossfitters! Also antivax and provax! what about BLM titles!?

bungo should def do this and btw yes great idea and it should be exclusive to veterans and members. u get a bump

I would probably down vote that idea. I don’t think it would really fit conceptually in destiny.
