Warlock exotic idea
Instead of placing down your rift, you instead instantly consume it into a buff based on the rift type.
Healing rift immediately heals you and provides the standard healing rift shield for ~8s, and empowering rift does the same thing middle solar melee does, empowering you for a while.
They could also have an aoe effect to work on teammates right next to you for coordinated pushes. (Maybe that would be too strong though?)

This is a cool idea, but in reality I dont think it would be too much better than rift, apart from mobility. I think if you could give it to everyone else and they could carry it but it'd be a shorter duration, that'd be pretty good/balanced. I've always like the idea of an Exotic for warlocks like phoenix cradle, where the duration of something gets doubled and you can give it to your teamates, so I guess you could maybe weave that into the rift idea? Either give it them in mobile form, or you get a bigger rift that lasts for twice as long? Either way, great idea!

I'd say something that would work better as an Exotic would be to make the Rift increase the RoF of all weapons inside (and recoil, accordingly) but to reduce the time to 10 seconds Edit: wouldn't work for teammates, just the caster. Teammates would only receive the buffs for the equipped rift

You're giving an easy self-overshield to every Warlock class, including top tree Dawnblade, making 100 Recovery mandatory and rendering other exotics obsolete. In PvE, this is cool. In PvP, this is asking for trouble. You're going to have legions of overshielded Warlocks running (and dashing) around with instakill special weapons. To balance it out, the cooldown of rift would have to be dramatically increased, and the healing/shield benefits of the "consumed" rift would have to be reduced so that it isn't an "I win" button you spam before getting into primary duels.

1 回覆It's kind of contrary to the concept of a rift, but if it was only the user that got the buff and the buff is shorter than a standard rift I wouldn't be entirely opposed to it.
