You are a tomboyish knight in the matriarchy of Octavia. You live to seek adventure, tell amazing stories, and maybe find love. You exit out your house searching for new kingdoms and places to discover.
You enter a tavern to get some breakfast. They've got some sort of lizard creature on the menu today, it looks a bit strange but you're hungry you order it anyway.
You order your lizard and some mead.
> Edged wait for Edged's mead.
When it arrives it tastes a bit funny, but you're pretty hungry and thirsty so you drink it anyway. It's not long before you start feeling weird though.
"These waiters, where do they find these idiots? I told him mead!"
> Edged finds a waiter.
You find a waiter and call him over, it's the same one that brought you the drink, oddly enough.
"Hey! I asked for mead." You say angrily.
"You got mead madam." He responds.
> Edged says "What kind of mead?"
"What kind of mead?"
"Yes, what kind of mead did I order."
"Oh, uhm..." He ponders for a second. "Troll mead."
This answer is confusing. Troll mead?
> Edged says "Like it's made of trolls? Gross!"
"Like it's made of trolls?" The waiter looks shocked. "We don't serve trolls here!"
"So what, you just put random words together and hope for the best? Troll mead, pfft.
> Edged says "You serve the trolls?"
"Yeah." The waiter nods. "We have a whole secret basement dedicated to them."
> Edged says "Nextime, how about normal mead?"
"Yeah, next time, how about normal mead?" He nods. "Yes, normal mead."
That should work. You return to your seat and wait for the drink. It's not long before it arrives.
> Edged ponder about Edged's life.
You've had a pretty interesting life so far. You were born as the only daughter to the king and queen of the kingdom of Atmora, the largest kingdom in the world.
> Edged think about Atmora.
Amoria is pretty diverse, and at the same time, very segregated. The people of the desert are kept in their own part of the kingdom and usually only deal with trading.
> Edged edged think about the matriarchy of Octavia.
It's very easy to tell whether you're in a matriarchy or not in the city. You only see men in their military garb, and they all have a more serious look on their faces.
> Edged think about the royal family of Atmora.
You're the princess of Atmora, but you've always found it kind of a chore. You never wanted to become a princess. You wanted to go on adventures, meet interesting people, get into danger, and explore the world!
> Edged exit the kingdom.
You exit the kingdom and find yourself outside Atmora. You wonder where you should go.
Go to Vosnia?
> Edged go to Vosnia.
You head over to Vosnia, a city in the middle of a desert. It's odd that there's a city here, but it does seem to get along with everyone.
Go to the Realm of the Mammoth Lords?
Go to Galenas?
> Edged think about Vosnia.
Vosnia is a quaint city, but it's overrun by goblins. The goblins haven't attacked anything outside their territory yet, but who knows how long that will last.
Go to the Realm of the Mammoth Lords?
Go to Galenas?
> Edged go to the inn in vosnia
You head to the inn in Vosnia. It's bustling, and you can see a few bards on stage.
"Hello," you say to a nearby barmaid. "I'd like a drink."
"Sure thing. What would you like?"
> Edged says "Water? Ha ha! No! Just mead, please."
"Me too," your friends chime in.
"Coming right up!" The barmaid says.
She soon comes back with five mugs of mead. You all quickly down them, and motion for more. Soon, you're all feeling pretty good.
> Edged feel attracted to one of the bards playing.
You start dancing a little closer to one of the bards. He smiles at you and starts playing a new song, one that he wrote just for you.
He comes over to talk to you personally and is instantly wooed by your stunning good looks.
> Edged continue to dance with the bard.
The bard takes you over to his music buddies and says, "This woman is the muse to my music. I simply cannot play without her by my side."
The other bards laugh good naturedly and you all have a good time.
> Edged in the morning, Edged leave the inn.
You say goodbye to the bard and his music buddies. The barmaid finds you and hands you your bill.
You pay the bill and leave.
> Edged find a companion.
You head to the edge of town and find a nice, cheap inn to stay in.
You're not there for more than a few minutes when a man tries to talk to you. You brush him off. He offers to buy you dinner.
> Edged says "What's the shakedown?"
"I just want to talk."
"How did you know I was new in town?"
"Everyone's new in town. We don't get too many new people here. This place is perfect for someone like you looking to settle down."
> Edged says "Talk about what exactly?"
The man looks around and gets closer to you.
> Edged says "Back off"
You walk away, but he follows.
The man seems to ignore your attempts to get him to leave you alone. He finally says, "So, what are you looking for in a husband?"
You ignore him and head home.
> Edged find a horse, and pack for another town.
You head to the stables where you find a strong, sturdy horse.
You pay the stables and begin your journey.
> Edged travel the desert looking for adventure.
The desert is vast. You have no idea where you'll go or what you'll do. You just know that you need to get away from the city.
After many days of travel, you find a strange oasis.
> Edged get out Edged's empty jugs.
You get out your empty jugs.
An old woman approaches you and says, "You look thirsty, my dear."
"I am," you say, lowering your jugs.
She smiles at you.
> Edged says "What can an old woman possibly be doing here?"
"Here," the old lady says, handing you a jug of water.
You take a swig of water. "Thank you," you say, handing her back the jug.
She looks at you closely, "What brings you out this far?
> Edged says "Just passing by."
She takes a look at your sword and seems impressed. "I didn't know there were any babarian raiders this far north."
You take a seat next to her by the fire.
> Edged says "Barbarian raiders?"
The old woman looks at you suspiciously. "You're not one of those barbarians are you?"
"Of course not," you say, offended.
She remains silent.
You sigh, "Look, I'm not a barbarian raider."
> Edged says "What makes you think that, by my armour?"
She shrugs, "Most people who come out here are barbarians or want to become one."
"What's wrong with barbarians?" you say.
She looks at you seriously and says, "Nothing.
> Edged says "Really? Are you sure?"
She breaks into a deep belly laugh. She tries to stifle it, but she continues to laugh for at least a minute more.
> Edged says "I guess I will take my leave."
"You didn't even stay to see if I had gold."
"To be quite honest, I don't really care. Sorry if that offended you, but as I said before I'm not here to judge you." You stand up and get on your horse.
> Edged edged head farther across the desert.
The next day you find yourself surrounded by darkness. You must have fallen asleep on the horse.
You open your eyes and see a faint light up ahead, a campfire.
> Edged start to be very cautious and weary.
You tiptoe closer to the campfire and hide behind a rock. You see a campfire and three men, well they aren't men, they are goblins.
"I'm telling you Holgart it was a bad idea letting the human in."
> Edged try to overhear their conversation.
You lean forward and pay extreme attention to their conversation.
"I don't understand why you are complaining so much, the human has brought us a lot of success."
"You really think she is one of us?
> Edged wonder what these goblins are talking about.
"Yes, I believe so. She has brought us great fortune."
"So what if she has? Why should we trust a human?"
One of the goblins stands up and begins to walk around restlessly.
> Edged hide and stay quiet.
You duck for cover, but the goblins have spotted you.
"What is that?"
"A human."
"Let's kill it."
You unsheathe your blade as the goblins get closer to you.
> Edged says "Then die goblin"
You swing but miss the first goblin and it hits you in the gut with it's blade.
You gasp for air and try to stand up, but another goblin has struck you in the head.
> Edged deflect their blows and try to slay the goblins.
You roll out of the way of the goblins and slice open one of their legs.
The goblin falls to the ground and you finish it off with a stab to the neck.
You then run your sword through the third goblin.
> Edged disarm the third goblin.
You strike the blade out of his hand and kick him to the ground. You then finish him off with a chop to the neck.
"Why did you kill our brothers?"
"Because they were idiots."
You twirl your blade around and face the leader.

> Edged says "Who are you?"
"I am Chief Tall-Paul."
"What are you doing in my kingdom?"
"We are just passing through, never did anything to offend your highness.
> Edged says "Sorry? Are you a goblin?"
"Yes, my father was a goblin and my mother was a human. A taboo in both societies. I had to hide who I really was, but after years, I learned to accept it."
You raise an eyebrow and the chief explains himself.
> Edged says "What the hell are you doing with three goblins?"
"I'm exploring my roots, I'm goblin and this is Ra-Molls.
> Edged says "So you are chief of three goblins?"
"He's joking."
You look at the goblin and he smiles.
"Yes I am!"
You look at each other for a few seconds and sit down by the campfire.
> Edged says "They were talking about a human who was a 'she?' Who were they talking about?"
"One of the goblins was talking about a human woman and how she took out three of their scout groups. He said that he wanted to keep her alive for mating, but his brothers were stupid and killed her."
You look at the goblins and shake your head.
> Edged says "But they talking as if she was alive?"
"They said she was alive, but far away from their camp. They said they wanted to cage her up and make her their mate."
You look at the goblins and shake your head in disgust.
"These guys are freaks.
> Edged says "But you said they killed her?"
"They said they wanted to mate with her. I think they probably killed her and were lying about her still being alive."
The goblins seem to be offended and their leader Tall-Paul speaks up.
> Edged says "What are you hiding from me? Are you badly lying to me about something or are you kinda dense? "
"We're just passing through. We don't want trouble."
The goblin smiles and his fangs become more prominent.
"I don't think you heard me. I asked you a question."
> Edged says "Okay, nice to meet you. I am still confused tho."
You look at the goblin and he seems to be confused.
"You are new to this realm. I can tell that you are not from the desert, that's why you are wearing the clothing. You smell different from us as well."
> Edged says "Can't you savages tell that I am a knight?"
"I am not a savage! I am a goblin and proud of it!
The goblin starts laughing.
"Well then, you're an idiotic goblin.
> Edged says "I am really disgusted. Bye."
"I am not idiotic! I am the best goblin there is! Now get out of my territory!"
The goblin gets very angry and starts to growl at you. He snaps his teeth together like a dog and snarls.
> Edged says "Sorry for calling you a savage and an idiotic. I will leave."
"You will leave and never return to our kingdom. Also, you will give me your sword as an apology for insulting us."
You look at the goblin and shake your head.
"Fine."
> Edged says "Not fine."
You stare at the goblin and he glares back at you.
"I think I'll keep it."
The chief throws a rock at you but you dodge it.
"You idiot! Now we have to kill him!"
> Edged says "Her actually."
The goblins laugh as they surround you.
"Get her!"
You're surrounded by several goblins and have nowhere to go. You swing your sword but only manage to hit one of them. The goblin falls to the ground and bleeds to death.
> Edged says "You rather all die or I leave while culling one of your weak?"
You don't answer, instead you just try and get out of there.
You swing your sword at the goblins and manage to kill a few with great ease. They are quite simply inferior to you.
> Edged decide these goblins are no hard threat but make a run for it.
You hear the goblins yelling at you but you've already took off. You're very fast and they don't stand a chance of catching you.
You find yourself on the road again and continue on to Vosnia.
> Edged wonder what happens next.
You wonder what lies in store for you on this adventure. Will you ever find a place to settle down? Will you ever find someone to settle down with? You're a woman on her own in an unforgiving world, anything could happen!
> Edged then wonder about Atmoria.
You wonder about your home. You were brought up in a royal family with everything you could ever want. There's no hardship to prepare you for, life has been easy. Whether you'll be able to survive in this harsh world remains to be seen.
> Edged explore the desert in another angle.
You decide to go east. There's a large desert and you want to see what lies beyond it. You ride your horse for several days before coming across a river. It's strange, this river doesn't seem to have an ending.
> Edged follow the river.
You decide to follow the river. It's flowing rapidly and you don't know where it goes, but you feel adventurous. You ride your horse down to the river and cross it. The water is freezing cold and you start to regret your decision.
> Edged wonder if Edged can find anything beyond.
Your horse is drowning and so are you. You grab at a reed in the water in an attempt to stay afloat, but it breaks. Your body is too heavy for your clothes to support and you quickly sink to the muddy river bed.
> Edged hold Edged's breath and get to shore.
After riding along the river for several days, you start to feel dizzy. The river isn't just flowing rapidly, it's actually swirling and pulling at your body. You feel sick and dizzy and dismount your horse.
You're not sure what to do.
> Edged try to move diagonally to get to shore.
The river carries you down to a waterfall and you're thrown off your horse as you go over it. Your horse is killed on impact with the rocks at the bottom of the falls.
> Edged try to hold onto the rocks.
The river is flowing too quickly and you can't grab onto the rocks. You're swept away by the current and lose consciousness.
When you wake up, you're lying on the muddy river bank and a man is standing over you.
> Edged says "Where am I? What happened to me?"
"You were brought here by the river. I found you lying on the bank. You look a little shaken so I'm not sure if you remember what happened."
> Edged says "Are you a necromancer? Chuclke"
"I'm a priest of Necrolius, yes. Do you know what that is?"
"Does it have something to do with the undead?"
"Yes, I command the dead. I'm not a necromancer."
> Edged says "I was only joking poorly. Boy, was I stupid to cross the river."
"Well, if you hadn't crossed the river, I would have never found you. The river is the border between Svelkilden and Farthlenn. I've been stranded on this side for quite some time. What's the last thing you remember?"
> Edged says "I was probably going to die for good. That's what I remember."
"Don't worry about it. You're safe now."
"I don't know your name..."
"Lars."
"I'm Edged. It's very nice to meet you, Lars."
"Sooo..."
"Yes?
> Edged says "I swear I had a dream where someone necromised me as a slave to defend him. Very specific dream, I know."
"(Sigh) That dream you had... It really happened."
"Wait... What?

> Edged says "What? Also, what were you going to say before?"
"That dream you had... It really happened."
"(Gasp) No!"
"It's true. You were brought back to life by me, as an undead Thrall.
> Edged says "I resist if that was true."
"You can't resist me. I am your master, you are my Thrall."
"Well then, I regret to inform you that I must decline.
> Edged says "Die"
You become very angry by Edged's responses.
"NO! YOU ARE MINE!"
You grab at your sword in rage, but find that it is missing.
"Hold on! Hold on! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to anger you!"
> Edged kill him with Edged's fists.
You punch Mr. Trenchcoat in the face, breaking his nose. He falls onto the ground bleeding.
"I DON'T NEED YOU ANYMORE!" You scream at him and start to walk away into the forest.
> Edged look in Edged's reflection.
You look at your reflection in a nearby puddle. You don't look any different. Maybe Mr. Trenchcoat was just trying to get under your skin.
You continue walking and come across a large house in the forest. It looks abandoned.
"Hello?"
> Edged are too careful and weary.
You walk up to the house and enter through the front door. You find yourself in a kitchen. There's a newspaper on the table. You open it and notice that it's from last year. So nobody has been here in quite a while.
> Edged try to look for a weapon in the kitchen.
You go through the kitchen drawers and cabinets but can't find anything useful. Just normal kitchen stuff. You do find a set of keys though. Probably the keys to the abandoned house.
There's a knock on the front door.
> Edged try to find shelter somewhere.
You quickly hide in the closest thing you can find. The walk-in pantry. You close the door behind you and turn off the lights.
There's another knock on the front door. It seems the person is about to enter without waiting.
> Edged wonder who would be knocking in a large house with an old newspaper. That's absurd.
You start laughing. Who would be at the door of a house with an old newspaper in the kitchen? That's absurd.
The lights suddenly turn on and you're staring at a ghost. Not any ghost either. You're staring at yourself.
> Edged are shocked and say "Is this a trick?"
You're shocked at the sight of yourself. Not only does this house have a newspaper from last year but also a ghost!
You look exactly like you do now except for a few differences. There's no scar on your face. You also look a bit more....
> Edged wonder what Edged also look a bit more.
You also look a bit more....
You also look a bit more...
You have nothing else to say about yourself. You finish the sentence with a "meh." The ghost of you rolls her eyes.
> Edged says "Why do you somewhat look like me?"
"I have no idea why I somewhat look like you either, sis. Actually, I take that back. I think it's because we're twins. That must be why! Y'know, the bond between siblings."
She realizes what you mean and nods.
> Edged says "What happened to you?"
"I... I died..."
"How?
> Edged says "Did newspapers have poison ink? Ha ha!"
"No. I did though... The king's knights came to the house and thought I was you because we look so much alike. They didn't bother to do any sort of comparison or anything. They just took me away in chains..."
> Edged says "Why would my father want me in chains?"
"I was framed. I swear it. There were many who wanted me dead but not you father... I don't think it was your father, to be honest. The knights that arrested me claimed it was."
"Who was it then?
> Edged says "Who?"
"Who wanted you dead."
"I'm not sure. There was a lot of people in the kingdom who didn't like me."
"Like who?
> Edged says "What did the knights also claim?"
"They claimed that they had evidence that I tried to start a rebellion. Is that true?"
You think hard about it before shaking your head.
"No. It must have been someone else."
"Good."
Eliza starts crying and you comfort her.
> Edged says "Do you this Lars guy or rather Mr. Trenchcloak? He claimed I was raised to be his thrall. Pretty weird stuff. I punched him and ran here."
"Oh. That sounds like him. I've met him several times. He's crazy but also very powerful. He was a mage of much power before going insane. He claims that he sees the future and can travel to different timelines."
> Edged says "I should try to get my sword back and make him see his future"
"You shouldn't. He's a madman. He... He tried to touch me once."
Edged's eyes widen as she clenches her fists in anger. Eliza continues.
> Edged says "Aren't you untouchable as a ghost?"
"Yeah. I can go through objects and such, but he grabbed me anyway. It was like when someone walks into you but a thousand times worse. He's crazy strong... I've never seen anyone as strong as him."
> Edged says "He's going to pay for that"
Edged makes a fist with her hand and takes a step towards the exit before stopping, realizing she can't go anywhere.
"He's going to pay for that."
You nod in agreement as Eliza sits down at the table. She starts crying again.
> Edged says "Don't you have a weapon around?"
"Yeah I got my sword somewhere here. I had it out earlier to test out the house."
Eliza looks around for a bit before opening up a drawer and pulling out the sword. She hands it to you as she sits down.
> Edged says "Thank you. When I find my old sword. I will give yours back to you."
Eliza just nods.
"I'm going to rest now. I was up all night crying. Good night."
"Good night Eliza."
You put the sword down in the corner of the room and lie down on a bed.
> Edged says "Hey! If I find those guards, I will make them answer questions and find out who was responsible for your death sis!"
Eliza sniffles a bit but says that she understands.
The next few days are a bit of a blur to you. You stay up all night keeping Eliza company while she sleeps and spends most of the day sleeping.
> Edged go into the forest.
You and Eliza agree that it would be best if you stayed in the house for a few more days.
You spend some time during the day sharpening your sword. You can't believe how easy it is to do.
After a few minutes of sharpening, you feel like you've achieved a perfect edge.
After a few more days, Eliza says she wants to go out. You agree to come with her and the two of you venture outside.
> Edged says "What do you know about Mr. Trenchcloak?"
You decide to walk into the forest with Eliza. You walk for a few minutes in silence before she suddenly asks you a question that catches you off guard.
"What do you know about Mr. Trenchcloak?"
"Who?
> Edged says "The guy who touched you? Remember? Or were we referring to him as Lars?"
"Yeah....I remember....thing is, I don't have much information on him. I never knew his real name."
"How did you meet him?
> Edged says "How did he find this large house?"
"He found it in the middle of the night. I was sleeping and he woke me up by knocking on the door. He asked if this was a safe place, so I let him in. He said he had been walking in the forest all night.
> Edged says "He was casual with a ghost?"
"He was pretty nice. He said I had a strong soul and that he could trust me. He even offered to let me see his face. I declined, of course."
You didn't want to know what he looked like under there.
> Edged says "I will see what he looked like under. Anyway, enough stalling and talking. Let's go find him."
You stand up and walk into the forest with Eliza. You walk through the trees until you find the clearing where you first met Trenchcloak.
He's standing at the edge of the forest, waiting for you.
> Edged says "Time to be like your dead, liar."
You run forward and stab Mr. Trenchcloak in the chest. He looks down at the sword and looks back up at you.
"It's over," he says, falling to the ground.

> Edged says "Yeah for you! Ha ha!"
You kneel down and take Trenchcloak's mask off. You expect to see something horrifying under it, but all you see is a normal face. Nothing special about it at all.
> Edged says "That's disapointing. What was I expecting a priest of Necrolius who's been stranded near a river?"
You laugh. Nothing about this man is all that interesting. Then again, he was just a side quest. Now it's time to focus on what's really important.
> Edged manage to find a way to Atmoria and head to the castle doors.
You walk up to the palace steps and knock on the door. A guard opens it and lets you in.
"We were just about to send a search party out for you," he says.
> Edged says "Now, you don't."
"Good work, knight," the guard says. "You can take a break before your next mission."
> Edged says "Next mission? Whatever, I need to speak to the king."
"Of course. Go ahead."
You walk through the palace until you find the throne room. You knock on the door and enter when you get an answer. You see King Atmora sitting on his throne.
> Edged says "Father, I need to speak to in private."
The king nods. The people in the room exit, leaving only you and the king.
"What did you want to speak about?" he asks.
"I have a quest I would like permission to go on.
> Edged says "I just found out that my sister is dead, and that she is killed by your guards supposedly."
King Atmora nods at you and walks over to a door near his throne. He opens it and looks inside.
"Good, this room is empty," he says.
He enters the room and you follow him into it.
> Edged says "They claimed that she was I and that I was starting a rebellion. Ridiculous, right?"
"Of course!" the king says.
The king closes the door and locks it, then sits in a chair near the bed.
"What is your quest?"
You take a deep breath.
> Edged says "I want to find who was responsible for my sister's death. That will be my quest."
"Good luck," the king says.
The king gets up and opens the door.
"I wish you the best of luck on your quest."
You walk out of the room and through the throne room.
> Edged says "Elsie's death will not go unpunished!"
You walk through the city to your house. You open the door and close it behind you, then take a deep breath.
You've been through a lot in the past few months.
> Edged wonder about the goblins Edged met in the desert near Vosnia.
You wonder if they are still back there, or if someone else has moved into the territory.
You exit out the other side of the city, where there is a man in a blue robe waiting for you.
"Hello," he says as you approach.
> Edged says "Why a blue robe?"
"I wear this robe so I can easily be identified."
"Who are you?" you ask.
"The name's Draven," he says, "I'm a wizard."
He holds out his hand, and a magical flame appears above his palm.
> Edged says "Impressive! Are you available for favours?"
"I am a wizard of many talents," Draven says, "What do you need?"
"I'm looking for a group of goblins that were terrorizing Vosnia. Do you know anything about them?"
"Indeed I do, they still are."
> Edged says "Okay, and also I am wondering about the murder of my sister."
Draven nods.
"She was murdered? That's unfortunate."
You nod.
> Edged says "I just hope you have any magic that can give me any leads"
"I have something that might help us look for your sister."
He hands you a wooden disk about the size of your palm. It has a spiral on one side and some kind of creature carved into the other.
"What is it?
> Edged says "No, like what is it?"
"It's called a divination disk," Draven says, "All you have to do is offer a prayer to Karn for his guidance and spin the disk. Then we'll both be able to see what your sister saw in her last moments.
> Edged says "Are you a cleric or a wizard?"
"Both. I was blessed by Karn at birth."
You raise an eyebrow.
"I didn't know that Karn did that.
> Edged says "Okay, let's do it!"
"We'll need to go somewhere quiet."
Draven looks around.
"Follow me."
He walks out of the town and into a field, stopping at a large rock.
"This should do," he says, sitting down on the rock.
