New xbox pre order is about a week away and I would like to know if the next gen systems are getting an fov slider. It will literally determine if I get a series x or work towards building a Pc. Can Bungie answer the question?

Nah, bungie doesn't know how to code different settings, PC options were done by another company.

I don’t know why they haven’t answered this yet. It’s a yes or no answer question, not that hard bungie.

I hate the low FOV in this game. Plenty of games already either have FOV sliders for console, or have confirmed they’re coming with next-gen. Gonna be pissed if we don’t get one when certain games are going to be running at 4K 120 FPS on next gen.

Just get a PC if you want a FoV slider and unlimited frames. The only reason I'd even consider anyone staying on consoles if all you do is Quickplay, Gambit, Patrols and Strikes. The fact that Pc lfg discord is 1000x better than console clan raid teams and 10000000x better than Bungies lfg...

It's the same cost as five years of monthly subscription game pass, a new console, and maybe a few games. Warranty, expandability, all around win.

If the next gen console versions will have an fov update it needs to be done via slider, if they lock the fov to 105 on ps5, the people jump from ps4 gonna be blind and won’t be able to play lol. Because the difference is huge, but when you get used to 105 it is quite nice. There is a reason the destiny addicts are mostly on PC because gameplay is miles better in there. But we can get the same experience on ps5 if we get frame rate and fov options.

It’s safe do assume they aren’t talking about it because it won’t have one. They weren’t willing to give us 60 FPS on current gen consoles which has been the standard since around the time they released. Why would you expect them to do anything more than the bare minimum now that they have no excuse to not do 60 FPS?

Honestly I'd say just build a PC anyway. Consoles are great for casual stuff but Destiny 2 on PC is just a flat out better experience (cheaters in PvP notwithstanding). I had the opportunity to switch over a few months ago and bought a PC that can run D2 perfectly well for about £800 (and that was pre-built, you'll definitely be able to do it for less if you're building it yourself.) The Xbox Series X is what, $500? you probably wouldn't need to save up much more to build a decent PC so I'd say the answer is fairly obvious in my book.
No hate on consoles btw, I've played on them for most of my life. I think it just depends on what kind of gaming you're into. PC is better for hardcore gaming but has a higher barrier to entry, console is better for casual gaming at the cost of customisation and hardware.
Never gonna happen but is very possible as games like God help me say this battlefield 5 has 64 players and an fov slider so does 1 and it runs just fine but then again this is destiny it would probably go down to 4 fps and crash
