由Unseelie Nil編輯: 9/23/2020 8:43:42 PM"Oh I am quite happy to help, my friend!" The dragon booms in a masculine voice. It smiles at you, with teeth as long as swords. Winnow smiles and laughs nervously. "I am Agregon," he turns to the fountain and examines the bodies, "I man in the forest below told me of these monsters, and I could not stand for that in my territory." He begins cutting them down, carefully setting them in the fountain below. "A spell keeps them slumbering, but they should awaken before long. If you wouldn't mind finding an intact tent to place them in...?"
-
It's pretty cozy, there's a lit fire in the center and a pile of furs for bedding off to the side of it. Across from there is a table and chair, with a few candles and papers scattered about. Also the standard witchy stuffs. A cauldron, mortar and pestle, a satchel of various dried plants, small effigies of bone and wood about, et cetera.
-
"I believe most humans do not enjoy the cold as much as I do," he chuckles, "Do be careful with them, please! They must have been through a lot." As you approach the tent, Winnow bursts out, "Got somethin! Well, a few things... looks like they were going to summon a very big demon to try to bust the doors down, but!" She shoves a piece of parchment in your face with an illustration of the doors and notes on the runes, "According to this, the doors only open under a new moon!"
-
"Yes, protected from the elements," Agregon is examining the doors now, "These enchantments are fascinating. I've never seen anything quite like them before." He drags a claw across a shimmering barrier of violet magic a few inches from the structure. "Yeah, according to this journal," Winnow adds, "they were hoping the demon could break them instead of waiting. Apparently these folks came here a few months ago looking to loot the place and their leaders went in, but no one that goes in comes back out... so that's fun!"
-
There were only the three bodies, the would be sacrifices from the fountain, so that's the last one!
"These folks don't seem like the brightest bulbs," Winnow smiles, "I bet we could get in and get out easy peasy." "I wish you luck," Agregon turns to you both, "but I'm afraid I've priorities elsewhere."
-
"Far well!" The dragon leaps off the mountain and soars away. The doors are a good twenty feet tall and made of some kind of metal, with runic script carved along the edges that glows a dim violet in the dark. "I think it's an old form of Elvish," Winnow says from behind, "Also, the new moon is only a day or two away. Should be fine to camp out here until then."
Two days in game. In real life it's whenever I'm feeling up to posting part two!
The wind picks up and the storm intensifies as you reach the top. Winnow is crouched behind some crates ahead of you, scoping out the camp. You see the mansion! Tall gothic rooftops and spires, stained glass windows, and two great doors with glowing violet runes carved into them. In the courtyard between you and the mansion lies a large camp, a couple dozen hide tents around a circular clearing with an old fountain at the center. Many fires are scattered about, with groups of raiders resting around them. You also see a few large, tall men with pale skin and red eyes among the revelers. There are nine totems of wood and bone evenly spaced along the edges of the circle and three men are hung by their ankles from the top of the fountain. There is a larger tent near the doors of the mansion where three Elven women emerge, chanting, a goblet in one hand and a dagger in the other, as they walk towards the fountain...
