The elite players really need to be honest with themselves if they actually want to COMPETE or just farm people below their skill level and pat themselves on the back.
I think we all know what the answer is, the majority of the time.

A lot of lower-skill PVP players care. Look on these forums and Reddit and you will see that people aren't happy. I understand that every lobby shouldn't feel like a tournament for high-skill players, but that doesn't mean that every lobby should feel like getting stomped in a tournament for lower skill players either.

I am by no means elite - but have been flawless 5 times. Every single flawless run had me up against teams that were better statistically, but we played smart and even came back from 0-4 starts to win. This is what Trials is about. When the deck is stacked against you, not often but sometimes, you can pull off a victory to keep your run going.

由Lull9編輯: 7/30/2020 6:31:43 PMI think that's great for you but you might not be giving yourself enough credit for being good. Even getting 3 wins is a hopeless task for many with the system as it is, unfortunately. I'd like to see changes to make the mode more like your experiences, for everyone.

Don’t kid yourself. There’s no skill involved in D2 PvP. As long as you can equip a heavy weapon in any slot, this games a joke. That’s why nobody wants anything to do with trials. Except the people who lean on their grenade launcher crutches and act like they’re good. Hahahahaha

As an "elite," I don't want to farm, matches against .3 KD players just feel bad, like I'm John Cena hopping into the wrestling ring with 3rd graders. While I do feel like there needs to be a more elegant matchmaking solution, what's suggested here wouldn't exactly work. A lot of my friends/randoms off of LFG don't sweat the game as hard as me, and I wouldn't want to just get them slaughtered because I was in too high of a matchmaking bracket for them to handle. I definitely feel like team oriented matchmaking would be much more fair overall.

Trials got so hyped up like it's the end-all-be-all of skill in FPS shooters, but it's just another mode in a casual game. It would be nice if they would implement some sort of tiered ranking system with different emblems/triumphs/adept weapons etc to earn. The true competitors can go do that. Sorry if you can't carry your friends. Deliberately tank your Trial stats, I guess. Your ability to play conveniently with randos is an absurdly low priority for anything. Team-ranked matchmaking would be a good alternative though. If people want to post for "must have 3.0KD w/ 50 flawlesses," or otherwise make "super-squads" then they can all match each other.
