Greetings Community and Bungie, Happy Bungie Day!! I wanted to take the time out to express my appreciation for a company and a game that hold a special place in my heart. When I was 9 I proudly proclaimed to my father that I wanted to work for Bungie, and in the years since I've strode towards that goal. For almost two decades I've chased this dream, and let me tell you, those dreams have gotten ever closer. I lost my father in August 2015, he was a fire team member, we shared an uncanny bond and were always there for one another. He always supported me in my passion to become a game artist. I found myself in a dark place in his absence, paralyzed with fear of how large the world had suddenly become and how alone I was. In September of 2015 someone introduced me to Destiny and, once again my world changed. Not only did Destiny rekindle my love for my artwork but it also opened my world. I found myself in good company of a couple of Warlocks and eventually met a Titan of whom is like a brother to me now. I ended up heading a small clan of a handful of people who I've been lucky to know for over 3 years, two of which are from the UK! (I live in America). I was given a second family, and a new inspiration. I've met amazingly kind and wonderful people in this community too. I know Bungie isn't perfect, I don't expect them to be. But through this journey, I've only found my love Bungie growing. Seeing them not only do their best to improve such an awesome game, but also be a company who openly takes a stand for what they believe is right and do good in this world. My love has grown, and so has my pride in being part of this community. Destiny is more than a game for me. It holds a lot of sentiment, and I wouldn't be who I am today without it. So... This is a Hunter and artist, expressing his thanks to a people he'll forever be grateful to. You've given me a second family, you've given me inspiration and hope. Thank you. In the meantime, I'll keep drawing, gaming, and keeping an eye on that careers page >:) (I know there will be people who disagree, that's fine, this is MY experience.) Long live the Queen. Nothing beats screaming across the sky in the 4-pronged silloette of my old Hildian Seeker. Heck, I'd fix up that ship in the Lost Sector AWO-43 if I could and fly it out of there lol But alas.
