What is being called into question is why no one at Bungie, nor the Ninjas will take the time to resolve the questions about the gray areas that we have had for over a year now & have repeatedly asked for clarification on, yet get either no response or the laziest of form answers on. You have users here that want to understand the limits, because no one likes trying to hit a moving target. We do not like getting away with something then being spanked later because someone else decides it is now wrong. We do not like having mystery words that give us insta-bans, but when we ask what they are, we are told "don't say anything that could be consider bad."

Is there a particular reason you guys felt the change was needed at this juncture? Things have been the way they were for a long time, and I can remember periods before now when they were much worse in terms of toxicity. Why change all of a sudden?

I see that. It was 1 answer out of how many that were asked yesterday? If they had been available to talk to folks yesterday, how many bans could have been avoided? How much hate, anger & bullshit could have been avoided? How many members would not feel disrespected & thrown to the curb?

At the end of the day I suppose we aren't high on their priority list. But Duardo was always a good ninja and I respect his efforts personally. I do wish Cozmo and crowd would interact with us more. I'm greatful to deej for being my spirit animal and waifu, but I wish he stepped down to us mortals more often.

This is what bugs me. Bungie got their reputation partly for being down among their player base. Every single old school user I have talked to, they all speak about Bungie with a certain level of reverence. Yet all I see, is a company that is unwilling to to provide true service. I am not going to lower my standards so they can have an excuse to slack off. They want to make things better, then stop doing it half-assed & be serious about it. Get down here & talk to the people or just shut it down if you are too damn lazy to do the job properly. I remember how bad OffTopic was when I first stepped in here. The Ninjas were only useful for moving posts & maybe, just maybe, banning someone who was over the top. I watched the OffTopic community decide to change. People like you, Cell-3, HoTh, Triumphant 1000 & more, they started pushing for people to be nice. This sub-forum was good, until they decided to do their first round of "cleaning". They did not talk to us, they just rolled in & blindsided everyone for a few months. Then it came around again this year, with the bans & the insta-banbot. Once more, no communication with their community. "We want a community. We are listening." Really? What are you listening to? It sure wasn't us. See, you may have a connection with Duardo, but I don't. What I have, is 2 attempts now to get some form of communication & nothing. Same with Spawn. So what is so hard or threatening about answering a few questions? What is so hard about helping to clear up confusion among the users? If they were in my shoes & cared about the OffTopic community like I do, they would be livid with this, but either they are not taking in to account how they would feel if the roles were reversed or they don't care. This whole thing, could have been handled better & gone far more smoothly. I am not saying there would not have been bumps, but when you treat your community with respect, they will return that & take care of you. All I see, is lip service & a whole lot of disruption, anger & hate brought on by their failure to understand human nature & in how to treat others.

I certainly agree that they could, and should, do more. But I've never gotten the impression that they really care about offtopic. We aren't high on their priority list. I think we could be a great asset like u say, a meaningful part of their community that lasts and helps define bungie as a multi generational company. But they don't really recognize, or want what we could give. They seem focused on the moment, their product. I just take them where they are at, and hope against hope that they somehow become the bungie that inspired me with Halo, and showed me the awesome world of mature gaming. Untill then I'll troll, shitpost, and maybe have a meaningful discussion here and there; all the while hoping bungie can find it's focus.

Yeah. I have a personal bias towards said Ninja, because he has not exactly been polite to me in the past, but he has tried to be professional the last 2 times I spoke with him, so I need to move on from that bias. So sometimes it takes me awhile to remember that we all serve our own Masters & as such, we have to follow their Word. With that being said, maybe that Ninja follows the rules more closely than the other Ninjas, hence the discrepancies we are faced with between Ninja actions & since he is the face we see, we blame him & them, when we should be blaming their Lords that they have pledged their blades to.

Thou art a very wise man. I offer you a position as a wise councillor at my court. Well once I have a court. So far thy mighty sages of internet hath not found me a suitable location for a kingdom. Only a tennis court for some reason. Either way you speak wisely. How doth a person like me know if the master or follower is to blame? Maybe there could be a situation where the follower is over zealous to the master which causes the problems or maybe the follower abuses there power. Of what I speak I cannot be sure of. Maybe the follower is just doing there duty and thy master is to blame. What can one do to know? Each situation is different and all we can do is adapt to what is thrown at us.

All we may do is ask for clarity & hope that is seen as worthy to be answered.

Maybe then thy masters should listen to those they watch over. Even if it is only through diplomats it is nice to know that you are heard. There should be a place for all who seek clarification to go to. That is why in my court the table shall be round and all shall be equal! If I can afford such table. I spent all my starter gold on this armor and this longsword and these old robes amd crown. The rest went to the camera crew who I couldn’t actually afford so I hired a goat with a smartphone. Questing is expensive these days.

One can not always get ones Masters to listen to reason, sometimes said Masters feel that since they are a part of our Beloved Ruling Class, their choices are above contestation. I would suggest that you go ahead and start looking for scrap lumber & create this table for your self! Its humble origins will forever be a reminder of your origins & how you wish to proceed!

I shall try. For my skills in craft are good. It is on thy sheet of my character. Although I doubt my ability to carry such lumber since we all have to have a dump stat or two but my determination is unmatched. Although I hath not the room to place such a table nor the resources to bring it around with me.
