* to all with the answers...I GUESS!

They set the course for earth THEN cut the engines and destroyed the controls to ensure that nobody would be able to alter its set course? I mean that’s kinda space suicide bombing 101

Here’s my “hmm” story; Europa has been mentioned a couple of times this season. A fairly large amount all at once, for a place we haven’t even visited. There was a supposed leak a while back (from anonthenine) that we may be going there in D3 ....And that there’s a clovis bray facility there..... Probably just a coincidence, though.

The cutscene literally explains how the almighty is on it's way to earth. They destroyed navigation, so you cant point the ship elsewhere. They destroyed the engines, so they couldn't throw it in reverse, and they destroyed the controls to stop any manual driving.

<They started the Almighty and THEN shot the controls. It's really not that hard to understand.>
- A mind bending Psion uses a small rifle to shoot the controls out on the Almighty which causes the Almighty to begin a trajectory directly towards Earth. The solar system is infinitely large. The thing could have gone anywhere with no controls.
That was after the course was already set for the city. It shot the control to make it impossible to change the course.
- What is propelling the Almighty to Earth if the controls are shot out?
Momentum.
- Rasputin is a machine so powerful that Osiris is afraid of it. Rasputin is not powerful enough to clear some Fallen out of his underground bunker.
There’s literally a consumable that makes him do exactly that.
- Rasputin only communicates in illiterate Russian. Rasputin is an Artificial Intelligence capable of learning multiple languages
Rasputin was first created by a russian scientist. After, that, Rasputin has constantly written his own code. Ana even mentions that he developed his own voice. It’s safe to assume that he only speaks reverse russian because he wants to.

"- What is propelling the Almighty to Earth if the controls are shot out?" Friction, there is no friction in space. Once something is moving in space, there is no slowing it down unless there is interference by some outside force. Such as, oh I dont know.... a collision with the frickn' Earth!!!.

1. Where is the Dead Orbit Fleet? Buncha lazy emo punks! 2. Couldn't we just dump a bucket of Siva on the almighty and have Rasputin take it over? As to why Rasputin only speakes in Russian is that
he's secretly the ghost of Putin!

- A mind bending Psion uses a small rifle to shoot the controls out on the Almighty which causes the Almighty to begin a trajectory directly towards Earth. The solar system is infinitely large. The thing could have gone anywhere with no controls.
That psion probably isn’t that strong compared to a flayer.
- What is propelling the Almighty to Earth if the controls are shot out?
An object in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by another force
- It will take months for an object to reach Earth from the Sun. Could we give it a nudge in the meantime?
the thing is the size of a planet, so I doubt it
- There is a Warmind bunker with a massive in-ground door not even an inch below the surface of an area we have been blowing up for over a year. And even Anna didn't know about it.
the door was most likely lower and Rasputin raised it up. Rasputin isn’t the kind to just tell everyone everything
- Rasputin is a machine so powerful that Osiris is afraid of it. Rasputin is not powerful enough to clear some Fallen out of his underground bunker.
Rasputin lost control of the bunker during the collapse. He still has warsats in space, aka the same place as Osiris. Also warsats won’t fit in that tiny bunker.
- Rasputin only communicates in illiterate Russian. Rasputin is an Artificial Intelligence capable of learning multiple languages.
Just because you speak more than one language doesn’t mean you don’t speak your original language. If you and your family decided to learn Spanish, would you from now on speak Spanish around them? No, you would keep speaking English.

由Grays_KS27編輯: 3/11/2020 4:29:56 PM1. They set the course for the Almighty then blew up the controls. 2. IT IS IN SPACE. You move it in one direction and it will keep moving in that direction until it hits something. Most people mention gravity as the reason when discussing this, but the actual answer is that there is no gravity. 3. Just to clarify, the Almighty was above Mercury, not right next to the Sun. That aside, Destiny is a sci-fi universe where the races have NLS (Near Light Speed) engines, which -you guessed it!- make their ships move almost at the speed of light. The Almighty is a super weapon designed by an intergalactic empire to go to different solar systems, and is also fast enough to escape the blast radius of an exploding star. It takes the light of the Sun 8 minutes to reach Earth. Naturally the Almighty won’t be moving nearly that fast, but taking a few weeks or a couple months (like the length of a Season, for example) is reasonable. 4. Yeah, pretty ridiculous that no one noticed that (except the Fallen did notice and infest it, apparently). People give Ana too much credit, though. There’s a lot she doesn’t know about Rasputin and his assets. 5. Rasputin’s power is relative and situational. He’s hyper-intelligent and has many powerful weapons, including satellite arrays, Warsats, Combat Frames, etc. Many of his assets were lost or disconnected during the Collapse. Some bunkers and sites are now out of his reach and relatively unguarded, but other sites are well protected. For example, SITE 6 had an army of Frames that killed hundreds of Iron Lords, Rasputin nuked SITE 17 with a missile to kill more Iron Lords, and Rasputin used a satellite array over Mars to obliterate an entire Cabal beachhead. 6. An excellent point. 7. Are we just doing HMM moments for Rasputin and this season? I’ll try to think of some I guess.

由DarkenedAcolyte編輯: 3/11/2020 2:28:28 PM1. They began a course for Earth and then shot out the controls. 2. Uhhh...do we not know how gravity works? 3. Unless that object was already closing in on Earth in the first place. 4. There are thousands if not millions of things right under our feet at this very moment we don’t know about. 5. Rasputin isn’t all powerful. That’s been pretty clear since the beginning. 6. Again. Rasputin is dumb. And dangerous.
