I honestly cannot believe that everyone's biggest complaint about the recent info is weapon retirement. Not only did it exist in Destiny 1, where it was a great system that almost everyone accepted, but it also allowed them to go all-out with making more powerful weapons. Who knows, maybe it would even allow ritual/pinnacle weapons to be stronger again if they won't be around forever. The bigger issue however is the artifact and bungie's refusal to deactivate the damn thing. The community has basically been wholeheartedly saying since it was introduced to get it the -blam!- out of any sort of competitive PvP. Now, with Trials coming back and POWER LEVEL ENABLED, the artifact is going to make things even worse. First there's the whole issue with mods like the battery perks which are annoying as all hell. They are -blam!-ing up the balance of PvP and shouldn't even be allowed in Comp, let alone in Trials. Allowing the power level of the artifact to affect Trials, however, is absolutely -blam!-. I don't know what the hell is going on in the dev team, but unless they're all on crack 24/7 I cannot fathom why they believe that enabling the artifact is a good idea. What this basically means is that the people who play PvP religiously and take the time to become skilled at it, to the point of ignoring the xp grind and farming planet bounties, will be punished inside the PINNACLE PVP ACTIVITY and the people without a life who constantly grind PvE will be able to steamroll in Trials. This - and I cannot overstate this enough - is the dumbest -blam!-ing shit. Personally, I agree that power level should be enabled - but ONLY for gear, not for the artifact. It would give meaning to going for pinnacle drops - something that has been sorely lacking - while keeping the balance of the gamemode in line. The artifact cannot be allowed into Trials in any form, mods or power level, or the reintroduction of Trials of Osiris - which the community has been begging for - will fall flat on its face and be seen as worse than that goddamn undying mind "event". So imma post a Poll - do you guys think it should be enabled?
